... Refugees continue to stream into neighboring regencies from parts of New Buckland known as Thargosia speaking of terrible creatures stalking the night. Fractured reports claim skeletal monstrosities have ravaged the area and are stopping anyone from entering or leaving. As the refugee count rises and winter comes closer many are left to the streets without adequate supply for the winter. As of press time no contact could been made with Regent Luca Von Erling as to the nature of the troubles in his Regency. No official comment from The High Regent has been made but sources close to the High Regent say he is handling the situation. The Brotherhood of the Light is preparing a military expedition to investigate and eradicate the threat. The expedition planned for the first of the month has been delayed by disagreements within the captaincy of the Brotherhood. For now, hope lies in the Captain General to make a final decision as to troop strengths and timing of the expedition. The Captain General, newly appointed Regent of Briarpass, has not yet returned from touring his regency and some fear for his health at such an advanced age. For now it seems, nothing will be done before winter's first snows fall and thus the Regency of Thargosia is, for now, to be left to its own fate.
