Expiration during event

My MI has an expire date of 10/12, and my event is on 10/11 - 10/13.

Does my item expire

1) 12:00 AM on 10/12

2) 11:59 PM on 10/12

3) The logistics period of 10/12

4) The 10/13 logistics period, which would be end-game.

It would expire at the end of the 10/12 logistics period / beginning of the 10/13 logistics period.

The item cannot be checked in at the logistics period on 10/2. I will note that I have heard the opinion that if an item is valid at the start of an event it should be honored throughout that event, although I have never personally seen the presented hypothetical situation arise.
