I can’t believe no one has started this yet. Ssssh… I think they’re all still sleeping!

Awesome awesome event. I give it an A+. You guys crammed almost an entire weekend’s worth of plot into a faire day (and faire night?) Beaucoup kudos to the NH Staff and NPCs for pulling off this feat.

Favs:
-Ritual succeeds! I love being a fighter !!!! Not really enough said but enough for now.
-Brownies in golems. I loved the concept, the whole brownie shooting out of the backpack thing and the way Gary moved during the fight as if he was a brownie in a mech. I was thoroughly entertained.
-Kainen, the fishing lure.
-The swamp hag module. I think I will have the image of Emily(?) rising from the swamp with me forever. I was so scared we were going to wipe towards the end. Getting to shout at monsters for attacking my healer for the first time and Koi unloading when the $%@# hit the fan! WOOT!
-Jun-Wu’s death storm when Michiko got engulfed.
-Fighting WITH the Hunt. Wik’s mentorship of the town and Geebous’ never-say-die attitude were a real inspiration. Ping ponging monsters with Wik was also hella fun.
-The final battle. “So did we win?” “Well… you know they’re probably going to come back and-“ “No, I mean, right now did we win this battle?” “Well we’re all still here.” “Then can we like cheer or something?” Seriously, thinking that we were pretty much going to have town wipe and then pulling it together was amazing. Watching the parts that I got to see of Wik chasing down Samuel and Osiris vs. Drenten. Just… woah.
-Elf Pantherghast! Sean, you are a in fact a beast. And not in the cheesy way.
-All the people who put-up with me acting like a total donut during my fighter lessons and right after the change. I intended to make it last a little bit longer but once the switch got flipped on the swamp mod there was no going back. I especially enjoyed the roleplay when Amaranthus was teaching Michiko style master and during the first wave battle after the change.
Jun-Wu: Michiko, you were braver than this 5 minutes ago.
Michiko: Yeah but he has spells!
Also realizing as soon as Mike rolled up on me and started swinging drain that I’d forgotten to put the AA on. The look on Kainen’s face when he got me back up was highly amusing.
-Making Amaranthus mad by offering protectives! And they weren’t even celestial! Sheesh. Lol
-Tabin’s comments about Michiko’s fighting. :D
-Seriously, all things Craig who talks me into crazy adventures and then helps me stay awake for them. 3am red bull deliveries in deserted doctor’s office parking lots ftw. <3
Many many more, but I’m out of time.
Thank you Plot, Staff and NPCs for an amazing not-quite-weekend!
 
1) Not having to pull punches for the last battle, and having the town not get rolled. Of course, now I know I can bring the brownies... next time. ;)

2) Everyone did such a great job showing a legitimate interest and passion to fight the good fight, for the sake of the town and their new potential allies in the sky. Great job everyone.

On the note: Role play rewards in the form of restricted magic items will be going out every weekend this year for exceptional efforts noticed by NPC camp, so keep up the good work.

3) Drenton on Good Father's side. Three down, the rest of the mortal race to go.

4) The Battle Royale in front of the castle. And now Squires Kainen and Tabin shall have quite an interesting first meeting with their Queen. "So, a Lich in my court yard and nearly one hundred life spells? Well done, boys. I can't wait to see what you bring me for my birthday."

There's a cartoon in my psychology textbook under Behaviorism. Two mice are in a cage and the caption says "Well if we hadn't done so well in the easy box they wouldn't have given us this complicated one." Lesson learned. j/k ;)

Some more:

-Escorting Keeley around and Michiko just generally being overprotective of her healers. I didn't plan that particular personality quirk but it just started coming out and of course makes complete sense.
-The horror of watching the MWE transform to human right before my eyes.
-Fever Grey: Does anyone have any questions?
Michiko: Yeah, can I pet the kitty?
Fever Grey: Well that depends, do you like having hands?
-Glorious Red disturbs me greatly, but I have to give credit to Jaimi for doing an amazing job with this role.
-Jones Silverspoon, with his own adventuring group now. Hilarious. I wish I could have stayed for the whole fishbowl.
-Not getting accosted for going to the Chinese Buffet in full costume.
 
I think this faire day kicked my butt more than most events. The driving home at 1 am was a bad idea... not doing that again.

-My first ritual casting as the primary caster. And watching the beginning of Michiko's Spirit Forge, getting re-dressed really slowly IG to make sure nothing backlashed or flawed and she didn't need help.

-Osiris Riddle. I <3 that character, especially when his earth column shows up to help a town that's seriously out of healing spells. And watching him Vision (Lore?) Preston in the tavern.

-AA + wand charges means I can actually kill stuff on my own!

-Watching people cheer Michiko on to kill stuff.

-Human Pantherghast, holy cr@p, 8 body is rough when you only have 15.

-watching people realize we'd be no-holds-barred fighting Drenten, and everyone refusing to turn their back to him. And hearing the verbals as Wik and Gebous fumigated Samuel.

-Hanging out with a combined Hunt/Sunderdragon, and good stuff happening between Wick and Riddick.

-Kainen stepping between me and Glorious Red and straightforwardly telling her "If you touch a member of my house I'll kill you." And Glorious Red's Whispering Wind from Shitty Beige.

There's more, but after a harrowing drive home of desperately trying not to fall asleep driving, they'll have to wait :)
 
In no particular order:
-Entering town to mutant animals falling from the sky. Set the tone for the rest of the day.
-Being caught completely unawares by the Dark Elf Pantherghast, and then catching it unawares in the battle.
-Getting a cloak of darkness! Now I can be an even HAPPIER dark elf!
-The "so, can we cheer or something?" moment at the end of the night
-The very loud roleplay about the trial against Delalder. I don't think I've ever been so engrossed in watching roleplaying.
-Talking with Preston LeFay. "Your hair is absolutely fabulous". Also, the lore was absolutely hilarious.
-Everyone's various comments about my incredibly ridiculous wig. "You should spike it in the front and grow it out in the back so your head looks like it's exploding in slow-motion"
-The steampunk un-brownie-mechs.

it was an amazing event to cram a whole weekends worth of stuff into one day.

some of my favorites are
hanging out with phedre during the battles
deciding that im gonna go adept at the end of the year,

when sean came out as that undead who was looking for kainens body,
i was about to attack him but theres that little problem of having to listen when a squire tells you to do something.

thinking kainen was really surprised when avalon popped out of one of the monsters after being eaten.
the brownies in the golems was really interesting. and kainen killing one of them before it ejected and when he pulled one out but it was all gooey, made me think of looney toons yeti who had bugs bunny. "i shall hug him and squeeze him and call him george and pat him."

following the ritualists out across the field, being like a ninja. then running back as fast as i could to warn the town.

when skylar rifted into the middle of the group behind that tree, i started to back up but then he saw me and what i know was only a few seconds felt like it drew out for a good couple minutes that stare down i had with him and feeling like a deer caught in headlights. deciding to try and make a break for it but seeing him chase me and me not knowing where to go or what to do. hearing "who is that?" behind me didnt help either. i thought about calling for help but its like, what good could it do? what are they gonna do to skylar? trip him? yell out "hey, dont do that!?" deciding to turn back to the group didnt help either, i should have just kept running. but i knew gary was faster than me anyway. :p

and watching the intense role play between amaranthus and wick.

and also after wards where avalon felt threatened by amaranthus who was just trying to keep the secret mission of drentens a secret.
i had a moment where i thought he was gonna attack me and wipe my mind or something.

this one day was so crazy and full it really felt like a whole weekend event instead of one day.
i cant wait till the next full one though

A few of mine on my lunch break from the lab

Having to make hard choices. Trying to decide if actions can justify the means on a number of issues from helping an enemy to save a freind, to how far can athority go to protect the town (the case of the ritualists), and finaly the choice with grey.

Tab. All around fantastic to RP with.

Drenten. Knowing full well how bad having to fight him was going to be, and trying to get in arms reach of him. Explaining to his team the extent to which it all goes. HQ is going to be fun.

Watching Wik and Gebous gas the crap outa Samuel once he and Drenten were separated.

Talking with the lightning kin knight, and re explaining 5 + years of history, and trying to figure out a way to help them.

Throwing the vials in the fire, in Fever Grey's face. Talking to the town after and seeing that everyone pritty much agreed that it was teh right thing to do.

Throwing the magic sword to Ridick durring the human gast fight, only to remember AFTER that he is an elf now.

Getting the ball rolling on the creation of House Landcharmer and hearing support for the grand alliance of kingdoms.

Gotta be heading back to the lab. I had a good time, great seeing everyone, see you all in May.

Well, first, I think the npc's did an awesome job! Sadly, I wasn't able to stay for the entire faire day, but here are my favorites from the time i was there:

-Gloroius red...first time i've seen Glorious red, and I must say, quite the character!
-The relatively nice weather during the afternoon...I was anticipating snow and freezing weather OR a downpour all day, but it wasn't all that bad most of the day...we need to keep more bottled sunshine around though...
-Seeing fighter-Michiko learning fighting skills; nothing like having someone learn how to throw axes, while being the target...
-The brownie golems; it was awesome seeing the movements; made them all the more realistic. That, and I'm not sure who it was, but seeing the person trying to confuse one of them by telling it no repeatedly, and seeing it start to "glitch" was pretty funny
-Seeing the "adventurers" in the tavern...granted, Strago was a tad embarrassed to be human after seeing them, BUT it was still a funny sight...
-Last but not least, having most of my latex weapons safety-approved, and hearing no complaints about them...I am glad to see they are officially safe and battle-tested! :D
 
Thank you NPC's! This event def shows what can happen when there is a good PC/NPC ratio.

Just the fact that there was a faire day. I love faire days. I vote for more! (I just wish some of the newbies that I almost brought could have come, but each had a valid excuse why they couldn't make the event. Stupid babies being born/mother's b-days)

Hitting us like you normally would on a Sat, but then no logistics that night. Thanks Sean for busting out with Osiris. I don't even want to know what would have happened otherwise.

The town finally not going along with one of our enemy's plans.

Soooo much plot for a faire day. :)

One of the best moves I've seen in a while. Surion vs the de panthergast. He drops and we all groan like "not again" and then he pops back up and trys to lay a few into the panthergast's back. Beautiful.

In that vain. everything with the DE panthergast. Poor guy is up getting food and it comes in the tavern. Surion books it minus everything he has (including weapons). Sun grabs her bow and his sword and books it out there (realizing halfway out the door that I just left a rit scroll on the table). Later on having the bow replaced with a long sword and then the fun that came from that.

Tabins remarks about how much easier elf panthergasts are now that there are more elves and fighters in the mix.

"Jen, do you really want to bring that food ig?" "Dude, it's rice and sushi. It's literally in my race packet. I'm eatting it ig."

All the great rp that happened this weekend. Amar had one hell of a first weekend as a noble.

- Fighting Sword and Board again. Having a spirit linked Polearm at home gets old sometimes lol
- Ritual successful! Well done Becca... we expect big things from you! (and Im sure we'll get them)
- Rolling with Wik and Gebous... talk about things getting real.
- Apl 23... no healer... we got this.
- Amaranthus throwing me the DA during the human panthergast fight... and then realizing I was an elf. Hilarious.
- exchanging casual banter with Fever Grey.
- Kainen... all things Kainen.
- Rolling with my team with some help from the Seekers. Great mod guys.

I can't wait to come back sometime this year and play a full event.

Future endeavors with House Landcharmer on the horizon. This is promising

All the fights were awesome. EVERY single one. This IMO was one of the best stated events i have played in a long time, and that is taking into consideration the lack of a logistics at noon. GREAT Job!!!

Final battle, helping rally people and keeping the line intact so Wik and Geebus could do there thing.

Fighting Sword and Board side by side Michiko. You go get them you crazy twilight elf.

Tavern RP all day was excellent. Conversations with just about every one.

Getting to see my brother bust out his Dryad again.

Can't wait until the next event. See you guys in HQ
 
This list of favorites makes me happy. Can't wait to make it to a NH event again. Hopefully I will get the chance later this season, and hopefully it will be PCing my primary.
 
NPC's did a great job, nearly 1-1 odds is a totally different game.

Favs:

Realizing the animals weren't immune to waylay. "Ima scholar!"

Getting the "Stash" from Jun Wu, "cuz I know you'll survive this."

Doing Metzler dirty...that's my prison and no I'm not killin it, he's just gonna have to think about what he's done.

Gas Gooning Gary during the last battle, Wik had the same idea for Drenten, I just threw first.

Sh@t talking "Well they're lucky there's no Hobling pantherghast, I gots like 15 flame bolts ready to go." Metzler(OOG) "I can go get a mask" Me " nah I'm cool"

Not understanding why noone else was helping Deborah, I mean she feeds you guys.

I especially enjoyed seeing Geebs go over to the hole the worm crawled out of and send it a flower...I was like "awww how sweet"

I enjoyed the new game I learned about in NPC camp from Nells "never have I ever" OMGOODNESS that sounds so fun!

Figuring out I REALLY hate vapor and I'm so lucky I've only come into contact with him twice in game...because frankly...he's just too cute to kill.

Getting to play the MWE who had the bad luck of passing by Samuel HEHEHEH that was fun to RP.

Seeing Vry finally NPC...'bout time! heheheh j/k

Seeing everyone again...in all honesty that is REALLY my favorite part of every weekend.

Friday night in the tavern and goin to the movies!!!!
