Favorite Moments from the January 2009 Event!

It was a good event with several memorable moments. Here is my list:

Ghost children playing Duck Duck Goose Tackle!

Guess what is coming to dinner? (Vampire?) No desert for the Vampire.

Kobold with a Dominated Unberhulk.

The surprise on Stoneskull Rockfist's face when I burst through the tavern
door at around 2AM Monday morning yelled "Twisted rotting corps" and
started swinging!

The wedding was very cool! Especially watching the giving of the various
wedding gifts!

Thank you everyone!! I should have photos up in a day or two.

Man oh man... it was an absolute pleasure to come out to Seattle again. I had a blast from A to Z. Some particular moments that stick out in my mind:

Drinks @ Krieger's
The Ice Golem
The Ghost Children (and talking one into resurrecting)
Effram Rockfist's temporary return (a green guy never looked paler)
The Tainted Snake
Cards - "it's making money, not gambling"
Franchising "Alavatar's Finest Red Wizard Wine"
All the joking with the Order of LifeStorm
The Wedding and adding two new people to the family.

Thank you everyone for the amazing time I had while on the west coast! Maybe again next year? Maybe I'll see some of you in Chi-town? posting.php?mode=quote&f=4&p=26971#

Wow, I just have to say wow. I had a blast and everyone made me feel very welcome. Leaving the -20 of Chicago and arriving in the blissful 45 of Seattle was just the start of my fun. Thank you Bryan for bringing the extra bedding, without which we would have not slept so comfy. I have a whole slew of things that very exciting, fun, exelearating and downright entertaining to watch and experience.
-Having an excuse to scream at the top of my lungs. Whoot for being transformed into a Nightmare.
-NPCing as a rogue. It was fun to stalk the PCs and take part of NPCing in a different chapter.
-All of the fanaminal role play that went on. I enjoyed holding Krieger while he cried in my arms and having the crying be contagious. It seems to be a trend.
-Helping Gilles as much as possible. Thank you Gideon for remembering all the helping him up that I did last year too.
-Polare’s ‘Litch Itch’
-Seeing the dead come back to life and interacting with them. (thanks Paul)
-Being knocked out by my friends for over three hours.
-The gypsy curse packet barrage. It was almost a curse storm.
-“Knock, Knock. Sir, Krieger can I stay with you tonight?” Three times. Sleeping in the same cabin with the chosen of the queen of nightmare was not bad. It was actually pleasant.
-The most stereotypical vampire at a wondrous dinner. I enjoyed trying to talk to him as Toga was literally shaking with anger. “That was the best solid meal I have had in 200 years.” & Liddia- “So, Count do you have any good dinner stories?” Count -“No, not those that the present company would appreciate.” Liddia-“How about from when you were mortal?” Count- With a **** eating grin “No dear I do not think that they would appreciate that either.” That was a conversation killer.
-The MWe wedding. It was really nice to see someone in game have a same sex marriage.
-Having an audience with the Queen. Any excuse to dress up and talk politics is one I will take.
-All things The Noble Order of the Ivory Oak.
-Gaining the honorific noble title Warden of Truth.
-Spending some time in the palace and all the routing out of the corrupt.
-Dragging Dramathin down the hill by his ear. And how John screamed out, “Liddia! Stop, ouch those are sensitive.
-Having a heart to hear t with Dramathin.
-Having a heart to heart with the Rom and thinking that if they get angry I am so boned.
-3:30 am rogue attack. Darn them and interrupting my drinking party.
This is just a list of things off of the top of my head. I had a blast and plan on making it our next year. Thank you to the staff and all pcs for making me feel welcome.

Too many to count. Top three would have to be:

Using our Gypsy curses as offensive weapons.
Actually having my butt saved by the magic item I had been trying to sell all weekend

And, the number one moment:

Playing 3 card monte for my life. And winning.

Him: "So, basically you were cheating?"
Me: "Nope. I was playing like a Romani who's life is on the table."

Favorite moments well for the most part all of it. For bein my first time ever LARPin I had a blast NPCin. Everyone was most helpful with any questions that I had. It was most awsome when at the end game meeting when I said thank you for all the help being new and all, that most Pc's were in disbeleaf that this was my first time. That made my event and I am lookin forward to the next time. Thanks to everyone and hope to see you alls again

I have to say that this event was WAY more than what I was expecting!
I have been planning on playing Pino FOREVER and I am so happy with how her first game turned out.

FAVORITE MOMENTS:::
+ Discovering that Millers actually had a REAL piano hiding! (Thank you Matt!!!)
+ The wedding. Though it was poorly planned our kimonos were awesome! And the presents were awesome! And the atmosphere was awesome!
+ Playing the piano as Pino in the Tavern. (More songs are to be learned for your both in and out of game enjoyment. I also promise I'll get better at the violin, haha.)
+ Polare giving Pino the honor to use his "Magic Wood" the NIGHT he met her. (Woah there!)
+ Information was being thrown at Pino left and right ever since she arrived at the Crossroads. All contradicting each other... But it was A LOT of RP fun and work to figure out what exactly the hell was going on. Which meant a lot of fun RP with Greg, haha.
+ Being able to go all "Metal Gear Solid" on the guards when we all went to the Capitol. Sadly I had not a blade to be sneaky sneaky with.
+ Double hooking for the rogue mod. It was both fun and educational in tactics, and it made me miss Jaina. :[
+ Pino likes to play with Vanyal's head. :p
Pino: Tell me this, Vanyal; What eats all of its life, but dies when it drinks?
Vanyal: ...a worm?
Pino: ...
Vanyal: ...
Pino: *Evil smile* Is your brain hurting yet?
+ Answering the riddle in the nightmare realm.
+ Arguing with Gilles about how he should stop moping around like a fool and do something about his unhappiness. Then we kind of had a conversation with a tree...
+ The Grim Wolf. <333 Pino will forever treasure his rib bone...And pretty new sword! Pino promises to use it to protect Kasuni...as soon as she buys the skill... (>.>)
+ The Guardian was pretty. (At least in my head...)
+ The Crypt mod. Freaking AMAZING! Everyone did a great job communicating as best we could. (Thanks to Gideon and Bond for the Ice Golem costume! And thanks to Nate for wearing and fighting in it!)
+ MY VEST! MY VEST! MY VEST! It's so pretty. (^________________^)v
+ Order of the Ivory Oak dinner. Pino was more confused towards the vampire rather than upset or threatened.
+ Running out of my cabin during a small party to give the Barbarians chocolaty happiness since they chose not to enter the cabin due to their magic use beliefs.
+ Meeting the queen and obtaining the noble title, Warden of Truth. Got lucky there. Haha.
+ Accidentally blurting out Jaina sentences. :]
Sarr: Vanyal is going to help me meet a nice lady sarr.
Pino(?): Haha. Are you sure you want Vanyal's help? (OOG: OH SORRY, JORDAN! THAT WAS JAINA TALKING LOL)
Vanyal: *Drops mouth* Jaina was all over me! *Darts out the door with the sarr*
+ Kalin of the Brotherhood of Nightstorm becoming Pino's favorite smoking buddy of her new family. (^.^)y~~~~~~
+ Being overwhelmed by the number of MWEs. Both as me and as Pino, haha.
+ Prophecy for Sweet Leaf! <333

But I must say my FAVORITE thing OVER ALL was the RP. I designed this character to be more RP based and I am very happy with how she turned out and how I played her. I never really sought out different PCs and NPCs for information based reasons before. Just to talk to and not just to kill, you know?
It was fun. I really felt like I just traveled to my fiancee's home and learned all this new information about her and the feeling of "WTF!" felt real.

And thank you Andrew for the ride! You were awesome BTW!

I had a blast being on the other side of the curtain for once.
I loved how people were trying to convince us ghost children we were dead.
The way the PCs reacted to all of the RP we gave them during the event was great.
Being given the role of the queen on very short notice.
The crypt!
Vamps with a ward

Oh sooo many great moments..

I LOVED getting to RP the pain from my scar over and over again

Taking off my 15 ibs leg weights only to have Greg look at them and ask "What the hell are those?!" (Yes all of Friday and random times through the event I was wearing weights...

Getting to stay and hang around Kriger (the RP was amazing Greg, hope to do it again)

Talking with everyone from Chicago about all kinds of things. (Some of the best RP I have ever had)

Fearing for my life constantly since my house wasn't there to save me.

Introducing Djonin to everyone and seeing him go at it. (Was his first event ever and it seemed to go very well. Very good job Reilley)

Getting to deal with the random moments of Jaina from Alycia.

Having Pino try and screw with Vanyal's head as he laughed and gave stupid answers to everything.

The music in the tavern!

The wedding was great! I finally found a use for the never melting ice I had laying around!

The dinner with the vampire! Having Vanyal eat and keep a straight face as his face burned from his scar.

The assassins attacking the tavern and helping with leading the guards.

Actually having people go to me as the sheriff and looking to me. (Even though Vanyal always tried to get out of it)

The Hobling Door mod... I swear that damned slot machine had it in for me, and people wonder why Vanyal hates gambling...

The whole Monday morning scene with everyone from Chicago. Seriously the best RP plot I have ever been on, thank you guys! RPing my scar and actually getting to help Rockfist see things was great. That and getting to guard an artifact I can't use =P

I am sure I am missing some things but thank you ALL for an amazing event. And thank you Greg, Emily, Alycia, Reilley, and everyone from Chicago for the best RP I have ever had.

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to reach out to the NPCs, Staff, and Players for doing everything they could to make our time there enjoyable. We all had high expectations after last years amazing display and I, for one, was not dissapointed.

As always, the RP was phenomenal from all the PCs I interacted with in the past and all the newer faces I got to mix it up with.

The NPCs fough the good fight all weekend and gave a lot to make sure we all enjoyed ourselves and plot drove a truly astounding number of plotlines to a close all in one weekend.

Some notables for me:

Losing my cookie from Dave :(
Resetting the seasons... again :)
"Double O' Wyldweaver" sneaking around the palace by myself looking for the Queen, getting by the defenses, getting caught, and having the most odd RP with Dave that a guard and adventurer can have.
Catching the bouquet and eating the flowers for a bit then giving the rest to the queen.
All the inuendo that Jehan uses without quite understanding what it means
Jehan and Vaniel's "super secret" meetings
Taking on a new family member.
The Effram combat and RP.

and my favorite:

"Master Wyldweaver, this is far and away the most ill conceived plan anyone has ever put before me, and you are the most brash person I have ever met for ever considering that I would accept it.... but I am Intruiged."

Thanks Gid

I'll see yall next year if its in the cards

Paul

Let's see...

The giant ice creature outfit. OMG. I'm always amazed when we get to see costuming/props on that level. It's really what makes this hobby fantastic!

The ability to actually have a group of gypsies, and camp together. I have often felt like the "companya of 1" in most events I've gone to. Staying with Kerjal, Trianna, and Nigel really helped to immerse myself in that culture, and increased my role playing level immensely.

The NPC's, who good naturedly took the pounding all weekend long. I did get my bit of double hooking I try to do every over night, but you folks who go out there and die the good (and not so good) death over and over and over again are amazing.

The reaction to just the threat of the gypsy curse I made towards the new Sarr was hilarious. Mind you, actually using the darn thing would have been crass, but just the threat of it is kinda cool as well.

Chris' plot with the crypts, a nice combination of puzzles as well as combat. That was a well welcomed mixture, that makes the mod much better than "kick in the door, kill the monster, grab the loot".

Davio, tpo Raphael

Saturday night, stealth/infiltration run. Mad props to npcs for that.
Sunday afternoon, from when I got jumped by chris as the umberhulk until after the effram fight I crashed after seeing dawn.
Best game in years.

Happy dance, happy dance. I had sooooo much fun. You guys rocked with both the role play and the action.
I would like to add to my favorite.
-Dragging Dramithan down the hill by his ear.

I look forward to my next trip to see you all. :D

Amanda

I want to give a big "thank you" to all of my staff, NPC's, and to the players for making this one of the best games we've had. I look forward to seeing many of you in March!

My best time?

RPing with the Chicago folks after they were escorted to their rooms in the palace.

Thanks, everyone!

Oh and I almost forgot....

HUGE nod to Tristan for the best line of the event:

"I find this shovel usefull for various calls of nature and for recreational archeology"

:)

I was floored and still got a chuckle this afternoon out of it.

Vampire Charm- Give me your pants..

Best sexual pick up line ever?

Haha. That reminds me of when I entered the celestial circle to have Jehan identify my feather and him and Polare requested me to take off my boots. o_O

"May I ask why?"
"We need to do a thorough identification."

lol
