Favorite Moments

- Having Johanthan lost in the despairty of the most direst of situations and watching people help pull him out (well, one kicked him out, but thats the Queen for you).

- First IG mental RP scene. I enjoyed it, as well as co-running it.

- The comedic duo of Taran and Izlude. Laying on the cold floor of Kauss's cabin was made totally worth while as they had their little exchange. I wish I had a tape recorder to get it all.

- Having an idea for plot get used, and be talked about during clean-up (gotcha!)

- The Dragon head.

- The Strega.

- The map.

- The conversation that Johnathan had with the Strega while he was "out."

- The war room during the huge town battle. That was an awesome mod.

- The Kobolds are back! All hail king me again!

- Getting to RP and interact with people Johnathan doesnt normally interact with (Ikrit and Taran comes to mind).

- The scene between Johnathan and the Sindaco.

- The Strega fight. This has given me an excellent indication as to what an unscaled mod is like. I seriously thought we were done after 15 minutes.

- Slice and Krieger leaving. *sniffle* (not really a favorite moment, but a highlight, nonetheless)

And most likely more as it comes available.

i am happy they are back too! i likes them alot! :p

There were machines . . . Machines, I tell you!

The Dragon head.

The entire machine mod. It was so nerve-racking to be sitting there next to a security device, furiously tapping out commands. I also managed to get my axe shattered by a collection of gears (thank you!), and have now decided that Destroy spells are my foe.

The entire Strega battle. I resurrected my first time with Kurguard, and I really thought "We're all dead, the Strega has won."

*shakes fist at Plot* The riddle! I hated and loved that, all at once. Especially when it hit 2:00, and the sky ripped apart, and I got to say "Uh . . . Kauss? Can you see what time it is?"

I actually have an explanation now for why the Strega had so many machines. Thank you, Plot! I now have a new character goal.

"Oh, man, I'm going to be dead when this whole Strega thing resolves." The only thought that ran through my head when I had to give my tools back.

Finishing up plots I've been working on for four months now. It's weird to have plot running for Kurguard. First time somebody has actually said "Hey, Kurguard, get over here, we need you for something."

Having people mispronounce my name so frequently. I have learned to answer to about 5 names now.

And finally, becoming accquainted enough with several people to establish some future goals.

the whole damned thing!
seriously, I know I'm still shy of a year of playing, that has been my best event to date. My hat off to all of staff for pulling it off

to pick out moments...

-The dragon (beautiful work Damien and Becca!)

-JP's plan to defeat the dragon...then actually seeing him execute it!

-The first impression that one of the dragon scenes gave: Shane on a matress with his *** in the air, Jim standing over him, beating him with a club, yelling "DO MY BIDDING!"
admit it, you were thinking it to

-Shane's summaries if the histories of a few races during the wee hours of tne morning in monster camp

-Being a Hag, and dolling out the gypsy curses left and right. Kriegers boobs. Slice skipping about with a deathly serious expression, and that Biatta returning to her home chapter with a kittyface were likely the 3 best, though the lagrateman (sp) beatdown after reversing his personality was noteable as well

-The breaking of Anna

-the suspension of disbeleif: this event managed to keep my mind in the NERO world much more solidly than the ones before had. Much, much, much more immersive

-The weave weapons being purple, Which is, after all, the only color. (inside joke, do forgive)

-The packet war which started in the tavern at half past stupid o'clock

-A few choice incedents during the game which really got me thinking in Ikrit's head, motivating a lot of thought about him. Ironic that this happens the event before I plan to give him a rest for a while

-roleplaying with a LOT of people I dont normally get oppurtunity to

im sure there are more that will come to mind as soon as I send this, but the idea's been had. Great event, and thanks everyone for making it possible!

lets see

I got to use the Hammer of del in combat.

The wall of rogues in front of the dragon, catching the dragon magic with yells of "Dodge" (most of the time)

The alchemy test on the dragon. (aka when the alchemists all rushed the dragon, tossed a few gold worth of alchemy, heard the "no effect" and ran like heck )

Being one of the ones to help bring the dragon into the world, and back out of it again.

Getting to tell the le greatman's (sp) neice that I thought the beard looked fetching.

assasinating the sea hag. for those not in the know, we have always in the past been non lethal against each other. That night she met me with a death spell, and I broke her back with the hammer of del:)

Learning that most of the trolls betrayed us in the battle.

Running broken track running inbetween hags and constructs and at least once the straga by accident.

Getting to see the fae of war get punked.

Lots more.

--My flight getting delayed from an 11:30 am arrival to a 5:30pm arrival. Eek!

--Running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Oh man, from Friday night into Sunday morning, I don't think I had any real down time. There seemed to ALWAYS be something going on. O_O Plot/Monster camp went above and beyond. Thank you!!!

--Polare and Solomon's antics... (No Solomon, you haven't lost ground. Polare's name just happens to come before yours alphabetically.) ;)

--The Dragon Battle, most notably, Gregor running up at the beginning of the fight, jumping into its mouth and rifting out 8 miles up, intent on pinning himself while in the dragon then casting prison on himself. Too bad it didn't work. :(

Poor Slice getting nailed by that Obliterate. :cry2:
JP: "It wasn't me this time!" (Or something to that effect.)

The Rogue/Alchemist charge! --"No effect!" --"RUN AWAY!"

--The War Mod. Slowing realizing just how out-numbered we were...having the runners going back and forth between locations, giving information (sometimes bad, sometimes incomplete) and updates *really* added to the realism. The hero/leader bonuses (as explained by Jim) were very cool too!

--Helping to free the Record Keeper (I think that's who that was).

--Helping to return the Toymaker's Tools...

--The "Girls With Pigtails" Fight. There were so many PC's that were berserked (Krieger, Aeris, and Alavatar for three) that it got dicey there for a few minutes. Eep!

--Hearing about the Trolls and the Minotars. Wow. Talk about adding to the game/feeling!

--Missing the Strega Fight because we weren't woken up. >_< =P

--Dave, there were 116 of them. Thank you for being cool about it! ;)

--Helping thwart the assassination attempt on Krieger (sorry if I spelled your name wrong; at least I'll spell it the same way ever time ;) )...w00t!

--"Potato Storm! Potato Storm!" (Ah, the joys of Sunday Nights at a three-day event.)

--The nice, quiet conversation with Slice. I still think they're "Mr. Sparkly Bits" when he's asleep at night... =)

--Slice and Krieger leaving. :( I hope they have safe travels, wherever they are.

--The hilarious comment made my Taran: "Krieger is innocent compared to Polare!" I almost snorted my water (oh wait, I think I did).

--TONS of RP. =)

Plot/Staff/NPC's/Monster Mistress, it was an AMAZING weekend. The best event I've been to yet. I thank you for your time and dedication (again), because man, I am bloody WIPED OUT! Thank you again for all of your hard work.

There's so much more that happened, but I can't think of everything. Ug. I'm sure I'll think of more, and you can be sure I'll add it.

Oh yeah, whoever entered the "Whoever Gets The Most Kills" contest, I got 13! =D

Ooo. Unlucky thirteen.

--Kregar's breasts (I had never been on a Laughter Hold before...) ^_^

--Really good RP with unexpected people! Tarren, Nye, Ikrit, and Xylex come to mind

--dragons!! Phys-repped and otherwise... (BTW, the dragonhead was beautiful! Way to go, Bekka and Damien)

--The battle with the constructs! I really like the way that it was represented with maps and runners! It felt very realistic!

--Initiating the Potato Fight at half-past stupid o'clock, then running off and playing innocent when people tried to blame me for it ^_^

--Tarren stabbing himself in the leg until he was dead. I have to admit, that was pretty funny.

--Philosophizing about where the stars come from with Slice on the stoop of the tavern

-- out-of-game laughing evilly as my character screwed herself over, yet again

--the Strega battle!! I enjoyed that on so many levels!! But ya know, I?m kinda envious that my character didn?t get to res during that one. After all, it?s not everyone that has the right to say: ?My first resurrection? I died while fighting to save the world.?

--Meeting Shikar?s old friends, and watching as he played the big-brother role in driving them away from me. ^_^ Out of game, I?ve always been the older sibling, so it?s pretty darn interesting to see it from the other side

--Finally getting a chance to hang out with Eli! I love those dark conversations in the shadows!

--Winter. I had my doubts, but he?s actually a pretty cool fellow.

--The final appearance of Kregar and Slice. That was really well-done, and I had a deep feeling of closure about the whole thing. **sniff sniff** What will the town be like without them? Oh well, it will be neat to see what/who Holly and Greg have up their sleeves for next time ^_^

--ending game with a feeling of closure, yet still having that ominous feeling that the battle has only begun...

Memories

I think my favorite moments were hanging out with Taltos and Zylex (sp?)
While everyone was off doing a ritual, we were just sitting on the bench, talking. We sat outside for a long time before going in to the cozy cabin to talk more trash.

Singing to the moon (I'll post the song on the board today).... the look on shane's face as I tilted back my head and sang :

"Cause everyone's your friend when you're a gypsy
and no one really cares if you just stumble around tipsy
you can be a total bastard, or just find someone to screw
but the best thing about being Gypsy is I love you."

It was perfect. I sang my songs with nothing but the night sky (Shane) and sangua to hear me.

Playing my bass at the dragon fight and seeing greg get into the rhythym of the bassline, amped to kill ruled.

I also really liked the way people started to understand I'm not a noob (almost a decade now without dying once) , and this is my new home :P

moments.

ok, here we go:

The Dragon, Part One: The Charge of the Alchemists. I told Polare we needed cover to try something, and instantly we had three or four people blocking for us.

The Dragon, Part Two: The Yelling. Aziraphel has claimed before his most powerful weapon is his mouth. I had the dragon distracted for nearly five minutes in a yelling match. That was lots of time for people to regroup, reset armor, etc.

The Dragon, Part Three: The Mouth of Madness. Sitting there, holding the mouth open, certain that it was going to revive a second time and I was sooo going to die.

The War Room, Part One: Saturday Night: A few of us were up for hours staring at that map, coming up with all sorts of ideas. It was a strategic brainstorm that included pungi traps, walls of ice, triple flanking and roughly 20 gold used as troop markers.

The War Room, Part Two: Runnerstorm. Back and forth between the tavern and the war room. And the official runners had it even worse. But seeing Polare, Shikar and the Marchesa ( I think) crowded around the table planning had a very cool feel.

The War Room, Part Three: Bait. Cade and I volunteered to sit in there with no map, no escape route and no clue what was happening elsewhere. We had izlude as a door guard and one nasty, nasty acid trap rigged for whoever came in. We sat there using playing cards on the table discussing imaginary troop movements. Thorn burst in at one point and we almost triggered the trap.

Evad: You rule the tavern, man.

The blue sparkly mobs that looked like people from our past. To me, each of them looked like my father. To quote Vossun, "You should fixate less."

The Kobolds in my tavern Saturday night. I told them that if they kept my tavern clean though the night they would have my protection from then on out. And I told them my name was Cade. :laugh:

The Strega battle: Talk about a knockdown, drag out fight. We lay there on the cold, icy ground, being stepped on amd hardly noticed. It was so intense. The dominate battle near the end where people wrested control of Krieger, myself and others from the night hags was wild. I am so glad *someone* remembered we could be released.

Thato: One of the best scenes for me all weekend. I think he and I are coming to an understanding. That can't be good for either of us.

Pearl: After the Strega fight, and her unguided rez. Calming her down, trying to make her feel safe again. I think that was my biggest accomplishment for that whole fight.

I had some really fantastic RP with a number of people: Aeris, Mykell, Cade, Diera, Taran, Polare, Shikar and Izlude.

Cade:"So I was walking through the woods at night with Izlude, and I he said, "Man, this place is scary.'. I said to him, 'You're scared? I have to walk back alone.'"

Seeing Krieger and Slice leave for the vacation they deserved.

Favorite personal moments:

- Rifting eight miles above the land without my dang dragon in hand... looks down "Sonuva..... not again!"

- Sunday morning in the gypsy cabin.

- Perming Krieger and Slice on the other side of their portal.

- Jason and Ty-cade OOG, watching me set up the bait trap: "Wow, it's like watching Batman with his utility belt!"

- Marchessa and Polare leaning in heavily over the strategy map: "If only we could hit those guys in the back, really break them up." Gregor "I've got cannons... would cannons work?" Later.... Marchessa: "Our runner are getting exhausted, I wish we had horses." Gregor "I think I have like ten or twelve. Where do you want them?"

- Walking in on Mr. Magistratum and talking his ear off while the dragon healed itself.

- "You guys need to hunt down an enemy messenger going through our turf." Gregor and Krieger to the command tent: "What does he look like?" "Not sure." "Where is he coming from?" "No idea." "Where is he going?" "Not positive." "What is his mission: delivery, or misinformation?" "No clue." under his breath"Got it. Military intelligence."

Other amusements:

- Slice, skipping...

- The false riddle that had been brought out to distract the adventurers from doing what needed to be done. Totally had Gregor going for a while. And this, ladies and kiddies, is why Gregor is always asking "And, why are we believing this?"

Too many to list.....

After the Strega battle..

Cade: "Shikar, can I date your sister?"
Shikar: " NO"
Thorn: "Can I?"
Shikar: "Uh, no"

((I can;t put the next line here. This is a family board.))

Cade: "Hey Izlude..."
Izlude: "Yeah?"
Cade: "NEVER BE ALONE"
Izlude: "Uh....okay"

((The boy does not know fear I tell you!))

Being asked by an NPC if I had a PC that I played in the Strega battle, and upon hearing Cade WAS a PC, asking if they were going to kill me for that.

Loved the fact that the Gypsies cemented everything I've ever thought about Gypsies, save for Tristan.

The look on the faces of PC and NPC alike as I swung for death....

"Kobolds, to me!" That was golden...I'm still laughing.

Favorite Moments:

Slice finally admitting to herself that she liked Tristan when he walked into battle against a Dragon with nothing but a guitar.

Giving a heart felt speach to Jonathan about justice and desire in his moments of doubt, and oog realizing just how much Slice has changed over the past 6 years.

Gathering allies, and preparing to get smashed to bits inside a waring minatour cave.

Taking an Obliterate in an attempt to keep up our magic storm. (not glad I took an obliterate, but if I was going to take one, fighting a dragon to save the world was the way to do it. It was a cool death)

Skipping around as Slice, totally levide, ready to kill the first person who looked at her wrong.

The Strega battle and the terror in everyones eyes as they fought for their lives and the survival of the weave. It was an awesome battle, I dont know that I have ever seen a group more dedicated and more willing to die for a cause then that battle. It rocked.

Continuously making fun of thorn when he was a dire wolf, because he was incapable of talking back.

Partying in our cabin Saturday night, and everyone singing happy birthday to Slice.

The look on Nikos's face when I told him I let all the Saba stay in his house.

Being dominated beside Krieger to the Sea Hag for what seemed like forever.

Analyzing the stars out on the porch sunday night.

Getting to see SLice and Krieger go out in style monday morning.

Holly

Rare moment of Ellie sarrcasm:
((In the kitchen))
Cade: Hey Ellie, Shikar just said I can't date you.
Ellie: Really? That's too bad. I guess it wasn't meant to be.
Cade: But we can still be friends, right?
Ellie (in a semi-serious monotone): No Cade. I could never be your friend after this.

Oh, and I also have to add to favorite moments:
Evad pinning me when I tried to run out the door without eating my lunch. **laughs** I was trying to take a picture out-of-game! Ya know, I've complained before about how difficult it is to get pictures at NERO, but this is ridiculous!

Thorn as a dire wolf.

Ellie: Thorn, play dead! Please? Pretty please?
Thorn: **thunk**
Ellie: Oh my god! Look at that Taren, he actually did it! ... Hey Throne! Roll over!
Thorne: rowf rwoof!?
Ellie: Please???
Thorn: **rolls over**
Slice ((suddenly enters cabin)): **silence**

Usually I can't post the things I say at nero events on the board afterwards, however, this time I actually had a few conversations that were fit to print.

To thorn:
"You're a dog, eat it!
Did you see what I just called him...
and he can't do jack about it, cause he's a dog...
<Thorn draws his sword>
NO, JERRY, WE'RE COOL!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To the strega:
"C'mon, I need to be wooed too!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

D: You've got <a pair>, coming to a dragon fight with only a guitar
Trystan: "No I don't, my parents had them removed when they decided to raise me as a girl."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To lots of people:
"Drink this before it clots!"
"Drink this!" <hands over a cause wounds>
(what *was* the final score tyler?)
That's about all I can tell here, most of you who know me know why.
