First Event NPCing

Hail, fellow (web) travelers (I am not referring to any spiders out there, to clarify. This is a human forum. Be gone, ye excessively appendaged fiends!). I was wondering... if I were to NPC my first event and get XP by doing so, but had not yet submitted my character background because I was waiting to get a better feel for the game world, would I apply that XP I gained through NPCing immediately to a first level character, or would I be able to wait to apply it until my character were entered as second level in the database? Additionally, would NPCing an event give me enough Gobbies to "buy back" the XP of an event that I miss? Additionally, additionally, would I be able to apply that XP that I bought back to the second level character?

I apologize if I worded this in a confusing way. I hope it makes sense. Thanks for the help!

Hi Lafftrack,

You don't get a level for submitting your back story. How it works logistically is that you are granted 60 goblin stamps, which buys back the last two monthly blankets (30 goblin stamps a piece) or the last event (60 goblin stamps) which grants you the build for that. NPC'ing will grant you the experience for the weekend as well as goblin stamps to buy back monthly blankets. The algorithm for experience to build is not swayed much by which order your blankets are purchased. It is slightly but not enough to make much of a difference in the long run.

Yes, NPC'ing will get you enough goblin stamps to buy back the last event. Remember though, that you can only buy back the monthly blankets and events within the last 3 months. For example, it is February now, so you could buy back November, December, and January as February is granted you could buy back for being in that month.

Yes, you would be able to apply the previous XP (and any XP you gobbie) to your character. Remember that you can only buy back monthly blankets in your home chapter and you can only get event blankets once on a given weekend. Therefore, if you wanted to buy back a weekend blanket but attended a faire day that fell on that weekend, you would not be able to buy back the weekend blanket.
