Food Stuff

So I'll be up in NH for the first time this weekend (yay!) and I was wondering what my food options (specifically vegetarian) will be so I can plan accordingly.

The meals are generally homecooked (and delicious), but there's always vegetarian options included in meals and snacks. This is almost guaranteed since the owner is a vegetarian! :D

Awesome. Last I heard the only meal actually served was dinner on Sat. and people were on their own for breakfasts. Is that still the case?

You missed that? :P

Becca -- the tavern provides snacks in the form of bread/cheese/hard-boiled eggs/etc all day, as well as carbonated and non-carbonated drinks, with a big meal for Saturday dinner (last event it was shepherd's pie, I'm not sure what the veggie option was). So if you're looking for a big Caldaria-style breakfast, you're on your own; there's a Dunkin Donuts within minutes of the site, as well as several other eating-places. If you prefer lighter fare, the tavern's the way to go. Deb's choice of bread is amaaaaazing. You're also more than welcome to bring whatever edibles you like (as with any chapter, please leave the obvious Coke cans and whatnot OOG). We promise, you won't starve!

Thanks for the info. I now know how to proceed :D

If you're staying on site and want some breakfast, let me know on Friday night. Mike and I stay offsite and can bring something for you :-)

Saturday Mornings there is usually breakfast. eggs and home fries to order if i can get that lazy meewee to get up and do it (j/k) i quess that isn't as well known as i thought ah. A dwarfs job is never done :)

veggie option was a veggie shepard's pie (peas, corn, carrots, etc). You can def survive not eatting meat there

Jen (who plays a vegetarian, but does like to indulge in "mushroom burgers" every once and a while)

So according to a reliable source I've found out what to expect out of Deadlands restaurants and culinary offerings...

Here we see the proprietor of a local eatery finding his cuisine pales in comparison to the flavor of his patrons.

And here, we see young warrior at some kind of gladiatorial arena about to chow down on a well deserved victory sandwich. Only when he chose Monster Sandliche he thought it was only a cute naming convention on the menu. Poor young clearly a warrior guy and definitely not some dude with an eating disorder from the 20th century...

Here, the most tragic of all, a boy must fight with wild creatures over a scrap of meat in order to survive. Fortunately the young human looks as if he won the day.
