Forum Etiquette

It's been years since I have used forums for either information or roleplay. Are there set standards in regards to the Alliance forums?

Also, could someone post a clarification on what exactly the IC forums are? The mists or something else and what that entails?

Just want to perhaps get a sticky created for new players to Alliance so we have a ready resource available before we dive in and potentially make asses of ourselves.

The forums are considered the "dream realm" and all have access to it.
