Special Deadline for CIVIL WAR-related BGAs: Sunday, July 2*
Deadline for all other BGAs: Sunday, July 9

* Jenn Beach is the chief writer for the Civil War story. Her head is about to get eaten by her day job. She will be able to give her full attention to Civil War BGAs only if they're submitted particularly early this event. We apologize for the inconvenience to players, and highly encourage you to submit soon!

Some guidelines for a successful BGA:
  • Read this article: https://medium.com/alliance-larp-de...es-getting-the-most-out-of-ibgas-f689a7da080d
  • 1 BGA - per player - after the last event you attended. Alliance Denver is willing to generously bend the rules for out-of-state players, players in the military, with newborn babies, or other sympathetic life circumstances, but please don't push the boundaries.
  • Use BGAs only when you need a response from Plot.
    • Plot does not need to know what your character does in your downtime as a general note.
    • Plot does not need to know when you are sending a letter to a Player Character (PC), or having a conversation with another PC. Just go contact that player.
  • One major action only per BGA. This is not determined by how much time you think your character would have to get things done - This limit is determined by how much Plot can respond to in the time we have. More time writing BGAs = Less time writing awesome events! No "And then!"
  • Sometimes the best source of information that you want to research is other PCs! Don't forget to ask around town about the subject you want to research. You might try asking a slightly different question than you imagine. Instead of, "Do you know anything about __________?" try asking, "Do you know who the local expert on _______ is?" You might find that other PCs are researching the same things as you, and you may each hold interlocking puzzle pieces. Go VOLTRON! Don't forget that the in-game website message forums are a good resource for that sort of discussion, too!
  • Don't forget to follow up on the topic of your BGA live at events! Team Prometheus often crafts these so that the hints and discoveries you find offstage may yet swing around to events. Don't be quick to assume that your BGA was the end of the story. :)

Happy adventuring, at and between games!
