"High Court: A Weekend of Chivalry, Contest, and Complications"

Heralds throughout Parna are sharing the news that the Sovereign, King Jonah Morganson, has proclaimed that the Summer High Court shall take place in the Barony of Stonehaven. His beautiful wife, our Queen Katherine Morganson, will be in attendance. Duke Propsero Azurius of the Northlands has announced that in honor of the Royal visit a tournament shall be held. The members of the Stonehaven community will need to be shrewd to keep their politics from muddying bigger waters and keep the local threats at bay in order to protect the visiting nobility.

As is tradition, elevations in rank and status will be announced at High Court as will any awards from the Sovereign. Details of the Duke’s tournament will be announced in the coming weeks.

Come join us! We're having the fun of a tournament, the festiveness of a court, and the excitement of uncovering a sinister plot. Not to mention local monsters and villians, other planer threats, and the all the regular fun of an Alliance event!

Our event takes place July 1-4, 2011 at Camp Cutter in the Santa Cruz Mountains, California.
Camp cutter has a full kitchen including cookware, but no plates/cups/silverware. There are shower facilities and several restrooms on site. Sleep accommodations include several rooms beneath the main lodge (these tend to fill quickly), four cabins that sleep eight people each, and numerous permanent tents at various locations around the camp. You may also put up your own tent. No bedding is provided, so plan to bring a sleeping bag or blanket. July weather ranges from mild to hot, and mosquitoes may be prevalent, so insect repellant is highly recommended.

If you are interested in bunking in either beneath the lodge or in a cabin, please pm Jim on the national forums.

The cost for our long event is as follows:

Member PC Pricing: $95 at the door. $85 if pre-registered by Friday, June 24th at 11:59 PM.
Non-Member PC Pricing: $105 at the door. $95 if pre-registered by June 24th at 11:59 PM (Food is not included; this is for a one event membership fee.)
Member NPC cost is free and includes full meals (dinner on Friday, breakfast on Monday, and breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday and Sunday), but we encourage you bring your own snacks.
Non-Member NPC cost is $10 (this is for a one event membership fee) and includes full meals (dinner on Friday, breakfast on Monday, and breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday and Sunday), but we encourage you bring your own snacks.

While we do not typically provide a meal service for PCs, if there is enough interest (local or otherwise), we can put together an affordable meal plan for PCs. If interested please email staff@allianceaf.net or pm Jim on the national forums.

We've had a few good questions come into the logistics address:

- Is there is any level cap for the event?
At this time, Alliance San Francisco does not have a level cap on any of its events. Bring whoever you’ll have fun playing!

- What limits are in place for Restricted items?
There are no limits on Restricted items.

- What limits are in place for LCO items?
LCO items may be allowed to transfer on a case by case basis as long as permission is given by the plot teams of both chapters.

- Are the item buy list or the Tidings of the Ancestors gobby purchases allowed for transferred characters?
These opportunities are available to any player who has goblin stamps in Alliance San Francisco and attends an event.
The item buy list is only available at the first night’s logistics of an event and items are first come, first serve. These items are LCO, so transferability to other chapters should be kept in mind.
Tidings of the Ancestors and Ritual scrolls and components may also only be purchased at first night logistics. For a full list of what is available for both options, please refer to this post.
Items created with goblin stamp purchased rituals or components will result in an LCO item.

if anyone is gonna be driving down there, I could add $20 to the carpool pot. I would love to go to this!

Our preregistration list has been recently updated. This is a reminder that there's a week and a half left until preregistration closes.

SF will need cards no later than Tuesday the 28th for transfer characters.

We look forward to seeing some folks!

For those wishing to keep abreast of the status of pre-reg and transfer, the list can be found in this post. Note that the pre-reg deadline is before the transfer deadline. Pre-regs may absolutely be submitted as is and amended as needed should new skills/items be acquired.

Pre-reg for this event ends tomorrow night. Whether you think you can make it or not, there's no harm nor foul in sending a pre-reg. :p

Please make sure you include spells, production, and any per-day and LCO magic items you're looking to transfer (please list effects by item.)

Pre-reg for this event is now closed. Due to the large number of transfers for this event, incomplete and transfer pre-regs will be accepted until Tuesday the 28th.

IMPORTANT!

There has been an emergency change of venue, and a resulting price change for the event.

Please see this thread for more information.

For those of you coming from Seattle who like to eat food, you may wish to consider this option from one of our local players. She's feeding people all weekend, and asking $25 for signing up and needs a few more people to chime in. She's quite an excellent cook, so if you bite on it, you'll not be wanting!

If you are planning to come to the SF event and will need help getting tent space please let me know ASAP or make a post on the Tent Census thread here. We have a lot of folks offering up extra tent space for those in need!

-Dan

This is a reminder for those of you coming down from the PNW.

We've had a last minute change of venue. See this thread for more information and directions.

The new venue is a tent venue. If you do not have a tent and need one to sleep in, there are directions on the above thread for how to contact people to make arrangements.

I too want to thank everyone who came down for a visit. It was great to see old friends and make new ones. As mentioned above there is a summary and review on our website and you'll get a total of 30 gobbies for filling out both if you do so by next Monday. I hope your upcoming event is successful! I know some SF players will be up to visit.

Thanks!

Jim
