July 2012 Event!

Alliance Seattle's next event is July 27-29 at Camp Sheppard near Enumclaw, WA.

Adventurers have now been in the Valley of Ghosts for almost 9 months, and mysteries still abound. Rumors are now spreading about a whole town of walking, talking ghosts, only 3 days' walk from Tarndale, but none of the Valley's denizens go near it. Investigating this location could be key to understanding the history of the Valley, and the strange curse that surrounds its inhabitants. Questions remain, though: Are all secrets meant to be unearthed? And what could be there that causes even the creatures of the night to be wary? Find out in Alliance Seattle Valley of Ghosts, Episode 4: The Edge

Hey guys. I sent my prereg in but have not heard anything back. Are not all emails going through?

Brewer

Hey Brewer,

I made a thread a while back about the Seattle logistics auto-response (thread here: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6919 ). If you aren't getting an auto-reply, chances are it's still broken. Not sure if that's what you're referring to or not, but just a heads-up. (The emails were still going through because I got a response from them, there just wasn't an auto-response saying that had received my emails.)

Don't forget! Today is the last day to make downtime submissions for before next event.

Brewer,

Your pre-reg has been received, and we've received your build and gobby expenditures. We're in the middle of a logistics hand-over, and we're working on getting stuff updated ASAP. You should hear back from us in the next few days. Thanks for your patience! <3

Updated the initial post with a teaser, reproduced here:

Pre-Pay is closed! Don't forget to pre-register by this Friday! The earlier the better, as we're transitioning Logistics teams and it would help out if you could give them as much time as possible to handle your requests.

Cabins/Scheduling at this event:

Plot will be using most of our regular buildings for Monster Camp, NPC sleeping quarters, and mod cabins. As you come into the camp, the first cabin on the left, Slide Mt, is Monster Camp. The cabins directly across from it- Skookum and Buck Mt- are for NPC sleeping quarters and a mod cabin. We will also be using the last cabin on the left, Big Crow, for a mod cabin. Other than that, cabin arrangements for players are first come, first served. You can see a map of camp here. Keep in mind that the last time we used this site it was Iron Falls (and last time it was used, it was by Oregon in an entirely different campaign) and that this time we'll be using it as a completely new location (see the event description, above).

Opening Ceremonies will be at 9pm. We'll be starting this game with a HARD LAY ON at 10pm. This means that in order to come into game, all players must go on a mod in order to enter the in game area. Players are allowed to set up in cabins before game is on, but you won't be able to Ward or otherwise protect your cabin in game until after the opening mod. Feel free to put up your decor and arrange your area, but don't put down circle physreps or W's until you're able to do so In Game. Because not all players might be able to come in game at the same time, please adhere to the "Don't be a ****" guideline and avoid roguing the cabins of people who are not yet In Game. Marshaling in this circumstance is always difficult, so it would be best to avoid the situation altogether.

Please try to be ready by 10pm! If you miss this time, when you are ready to come in game come to Monster Camp and we'll do our best to get you in game as fast as possible.
Make sure you have Marshal Notes for your cabin! Plot will either supply additional notes or alter the notes of several of the cabins, so please have them ready as soon as you can.

They've got to be in designated pits, or one of the grills. The grills are a little weird, though, there's a fuel restriction on them (only charcoal maybe? I haven't used them, and I can't remember, has anyone else actually used them? Shane usually brings his own BBQ, which has been fine). There's not really a map of the pits, but they're in the Chapel and near the Axe Yard, IIRC.

There are fire pits between the cabins and the back field as well. I've used them but that was like a year and a half ago.
