So, what'd you guys like?

It was a fantastic event, and once again, thank you NPCs! We wouldn't have had such a great time without your help! Here are some of my favorites, in no particular order (except the first one being first):
- 1. The Targus Fight. The actual fighting was downright awesome (especially with TadRon jumping in front of Shatter Spirits all over the place), but I really felt like I was active in plot, being a judge from the ritual and bellowing MARHEEM until we found him. And then Targus got what he deserved.
- 2. Meeting the people from TC. I always like meeting LARPers I haven't seen before, and people like Maxwell, Havok, TadRon, and Bob were excellent folk to meet.
- 3. Latenight gambling with Maxwell, Bob, TadRon, and Lil' Jon's NPC. That was a lot of gold in the pot, and a lot of really bad luck when betting for it all.
- 4. Getting challenged by Havok. Yup, never going to get him annoyed ever again.
- 5. Being accidentally left out of the Targus fight's loot split, so receiving all the Production item tags that were found instead.
- 6. The political madness of selecting a new King, and despite never having met him before and only running off what little I had seen, being a proponent of Master Eisenhorn (or is it Isenhorn?) that actually convinced a few neutral people to join his side.
And probably much more.

I had such a blast! Thank you everyone for being so welcoming - I love LARPing even more now knowing there are so many great people in it!
As Alexander said with his - This is in no real particular order:
1) Going out to eat to Family Kirkland restaurant in costume and having a cute little girl ask the waitress if I was a fairy
2) The thrift store incident involving Alexander...ahah
3) Meeting all sorts of new wonderful people - in game and out of game! (Maxwell, Enan Bluewater, Tarqaq, Havoc, Bob the Blacksmith, Don't & Not, the other two MWE's (Fallingstar and Elandra?), I could go on...)
4) The Targus fight was unique and awesome. I loved the little battle groups wandering around and the whole marco/polo idea!
5) Getting my first magic item - Thanks everyone for helping me get it (especially the kind gypsy man who I am drawing a blank on his name AGAIN *slaps face*)
6) The animal mod with the ancient elf and at the end when Don't kept using spells on Tarqaq
7) Sunday morning's ice mod - I got to throw Dragon Magic thanks to Miss Fallingstar!
8) Paul making a point to look at me and say "Got your 2!" whenever I came up and hit with my wimpy sword lol - made me happy haha <3
9) Paul's NPC waking up Enan and Allendra and us both thinking it was Targus (oh crap!)
10) The troll throwing rocks Friday night - awesome roleplaying! "Haha you puny humans I will eat you for breakfast!"
11) Enan and Havoc teaching me how to fight - and Havoc killing the poor farmer - who then stood up and said he prefers archery over sword fighting
12) Everyone (especially Dave) being so patient with me and teaching me all throughout the LARP
13) Pretty much any interaction with Maxwell - but especially the backrub!
Wow this list is getting long, I will stop there! haha
Again, thank you everyone, I had so much fun - and a big thanks to the NPC'S - they worked super hard even though there were so few of them!

I enjoy'd myself, even if I was one of the few npc's. I got to meet a bunch of cool new people, which made me want to try and make it to TC sometime with my character.
Favorites
-Late night dragon poker with Bob, Maxwell, Gandian and TadRon, was a blast.
-The force elementals, being creative and devious with the folks from Iowa, really enjoy'd not being one of the only NPC's if only for a little while
-Being fear'd by people during the Targis fight because we would sneak up and come out of no where.
-Berserking both Havok and Milosh, made me feel like I was doing something.
-The political debating I did with my emerald archer the first night, and apparently actually getting a few people to speak for him.
-Resisting 3 deaths in a row during the dire animal module. I felt cool, even if logistics was right after words and he was just throwing them to be fun.
-The ride with Dave, Denise and Alexander, getting to know them better and just general fun.
-Being lil' John, playing Renley and so on, you may not believe me, but I rather enjoy being recognized as looking like someone as well known as John Greenwood.
-just meeting all the new people, and I think getting better at playing the game.

• Finally getting rid of Targus, though what big baddie will be next raises questions.
• Damn you Renlee Firstborne, teaches me to have compassion. Although the fact that the HOG could understand my argument says something.
• I have Targus’s crown, * jumps up and down while dancing*
• The late night conversation with Milosh.
• The many conversations that I had with Maxwell.
• Whishel’s Tree
• Having Joselyn Rash back in the swing of things!
• We have a King! We have a King!
• Building a gallon with cannon in a small river?! Luca must have some good booze.
• No waystones, damn it that means I have to walk everywhere. And I left my horse tags at home.
• The town and outsiders coming together with little fight and working as a unit.
• Stalking Targus in the night, Hah! Take that, how do you like being hunted.
• Dying, that was fun. Not an excuse to ress. Liddia. Just I enjoyed having to ress. Because of a legitmate reason.
• Not being tied to the circle, and having a real circle.
• Arguing with Elle.
• Role Playing though having a nervous break down.
• My Meat Heart.

2. Gambling in the wee hours of the morning was fun, even though I lost big to Bob.

9. The battle with the Vampire was awesome, even though I took that "Ritual" wither limb halfway though. It was still intense and an awesome game mechanic to find and attack him. Way to go Chicago Plot Team!
10. Burning up one shot magic items and not having them feel like a waste.
11. Talking Enan into one last fight before he packed up "You got any live spells left?", good thing you were with us or more would have rezzed.
12. All the Lovely Ladys!
there too many good things I liked about this event, even with the bad weather. I enjoyed myself very much and hope to make it out to more events in the future.

I had a great time this event, Rain and all. Favorites are random in no particular order.
1.) My tent staying up to the insane wind and buckets of rain, always a pleasent way to sleep (seriously) although the creepy flashing light would have fit perfectly in a horror movie.
2.) Arguing for Joshua Horatio for Presi...er king of Wayside
3.) Political Manuevering, Officially signing on as Liddia's Council, Putting the Dukes name into the pot before torpedoing him later when he was on the wrong side.
4.) Banish works! I got one! (1 out of 8 isn't bad...right?), Enan tries it on everything because he just isn't sure what it does.
5.) Fending off other offers for my bodyguard's services, she got into high demand quickly!
6.) Waking up Saturday morning to find most of my private army having left during the rainy night (at least I didn't pay in advance!)
7.) Gypsy Ritual to create a marhiem, well done good RP
8.) Francheesy challenge returns!
9.) Actually prepping and using a sanctuary, take that suddenly appearing death knights!
10.) Slaying Targus, Enan's wasn't too invested in it, but was glad to be a part of it.
11.) Great traveling companions, Ride both ways was very enjoyable.
12.) The cloak of sheltering, at least it kept one person mostly dry ^.^
13.) Making a mistake during the bidding, if you are keeping the prices "reasonable" I suppose you have to eat the cost occasionally.

What I liked...
[*] The Targus Fight - loved how it played out... very tense fight
[*] Havok and Eviana - I never expected to be a go-between like that, especially out of fear of Havok getting bored
[*] The skeleton mod - sheer epicness. It was damn awesome.
[*] The marheim RP - I thought it was really cool
[*] The NPCs - the NPCs were awesome!
[*] The Renlee mod - as an NPC, it was fun... and all I can think about now are all the repercussions for letting him go... :twisted:
