  • Not very often do I get to see a spec ops group be successful. Leading the rogues to clear the way to the candy man was epic in my eyes.
  • Getting to sneak around the entire tavern coming into game with Dure'hdel.
  • The cake was not a lie, the cake was in fact delicious.
  • Blowing through a few gasses and being able to drop the giant leader (not taking all the credit by no means at all).

  • Most of the time when I use terminate its always a defensive called...but having it actuallly greatly harm something with a damage cap made me feel happy about it.
  • Waking up at the rest stop on my way home, to a severe thunderstorm and lots and lots of pouring rain.
  • HAHA: Almost falling asleep while thinking of what I liked most while typing this!!!! Did not go to sleep after I got home so I could reset my sleep scedule.
 
Hey everyone! I was NPCing, and this was my first trip down to Chicago. Here are my favorites:

-The Dark Society late night mod (with the two liches)
-"Bring out my favorites..." and everything else about that mod.
-The excellent food for breakfast and dinner. It was delicious.
-Playing an elemental of all four Stone/Lightning/Ice/Flame categories, plus Sorrow and Chaos, over the course of the weekend.
-Being the target of Rhys' (spelling?) one-hit killing of my crunchy undead during the Emerald Archer mod.
-Seeing some of the other SoMN staff as PCs.

I'd also like to thank the very generous individuals who let me use their bug spray, as I forgot to bring mine.
 
So far this season seems to be off to a bang up start for me atleast. Here is what I liked!

  • The unexpected here lead this mod mods.
  • The Candyman was fun! I am really enjoying this plot line.
  • The sashaying of a cross dressing Xander. I think almost everyone lost it when this happened or nearly did.
  • Getting my spell book again!!!
  • The newer adventurers hiding behind Dur'hadel (sp?) repelling a big undead and me walking up to it in sanctuary to distract it.
  • Finding a tomb with scary things and really ancient writing (attack of the craftmans other's for the win!).
  • Elemental funness.
  • Cake Craziness! (Certainly not a lie...)
  • There was actually a nice bit of teamwork this weekend.
  • Last but not least Hog Storm! :funny:

    And I know I'm missing something but this weekend was just what I needed! Awesome fun!
 
All in all, this was a great event! Thank you PCs and NPCs! In no particular order, some of my event favorites:

~ Dure'dhel blasting pretty much everything he had into the tainted Archer. That was awesome!
~ The return of the Dark Society!
~ The matron of the Goblins! Thanks for that, Rob!
~ Choosing the worst time to help Paul out and NPC... I had no idea that was what was coming up next. :funny: Still, it was a fun experience (though I don't want to do that sorta thing again any time soon). The looks on many folks' faces were pretty priceless.
~ Being the one to search the Bonepile monster, and regretting it after having to handle that nasty bone rep....
~ The ground ruby portal circle mod.
~ Everyone's responses to Rhys' "bleeding hands". The look on Thomas' face, as the Medical Marshal, was superb.
~ Discussing the Corrupt with Liddia.
~ Rob's super-slug, especially when it was about to Eviscerate someone.
~ Learning 9th level Celestial from Jehan.

Probably more, and perhaps I'll post again later, but I'm tired now and can't think of more.
 
It was so great to be able to come back for another event! It's always so much fun playing with you guys!

In no particular order:
~ All of the Earth/Elemental blades I got to use throughout the event! So much awesome! :D
~ Jamina walks up to Tal and Enan and says something along the lines of: "Volpe wants to know why the Jingly Death likes the coward."
~ How long it took people to get Enan and Tal out of bed, and sometimes having said people join in for a while, themselves. :p
~ The car ride with Alexander, Dave, and Ryan.
~ Going to the Kirkland family restaurant with those guys in costume. Always entertaining to be those odd people who walk into ordinary places in extraordinary attire.
~ The Emerald Archer mod. I particularly liked that one because it was one of the few I could really do something with. Yay for open-area mods!
~ Running into more skepticism of my stealth due to jingliness, and having others immediately advocate for me. :)
~ "Actually, D'rezz is probably the stealthiest." "Who? ..I don't see anybody." Nice save, Davion. tee hee
~ A bunch of us hiding behind Dure'dhel's repel on the zombie mod.
~ Enan's cave-clearing mod, and dashing over the ravine (because who doesn't like leaping over ridiculously deep holes in the ground?). I probably kb-ed more trolls on that mod than I had anything else in the last year and a half, too.
~ "Seriously, how much is he paying you?!"
~ The travel dialogue on the way toward the Limpid Pool of Time.
~ Meeting Jehan, although PCing with non-Fern Paul was a little strange at first.
~ Another group/order trying to pick up Talitha. :roll:
~ Seeing Alexander through the Monster camp door, and then putting on my glasses to see if I was actually seeing what I was seeing. (Sorry again for poking my nose into monster camp.) Some things seen can never be unseen... That Candyman mod was weird.
~ "Should I start calling you Blade Dancer?"

Thank you NPCs, PCs, and everyone inbetween! I love you guys and I plan to be venturing back for the next event, too! :yes:
 
I loved the non-stop feel of NPCing Chicago, I think I missed maybe 2 or 3 mods total. My favs in no particular order:

-Euphoria guards, playing the high, carefree guards getting snuck up on ect. Someone came up to me and said, "I kill you, I kill you" as he hit me with his sword. My guard dropped the ground, looked up and said, "Wait...if I'm dead, why am a still talking to you, I'm confused." "Well then let me make that official, I killing blow 1...I killing blow 2..."
"Wait, that's not ...*dead*"-me
-Also playing every time of elemental, that was really fun
-Goblin fire burning mod, "I call forth a flame bolt" "Hit", I call forth a Stone bolt *miss*, I call forth a lightning bolt *miss* "I was never any good at playing with anything but fire" at Davion as he literally stood still
-My little kid npc, that was so much fun to roleplay and I was so glad to have bug spray.
-Playing a higher card for the Hill Giant fight. Sorry Drezz I honestly could not hear what type of gas globe you threw at me no matter how many times you clarified.
- Hearing "26 Magic" and "14 magic" from behind every fight, my poor little crunchies.
- That dinner was fantastic
- 2 hours of Chris and I throwing Chaos Storms at each other in monster camp and making up random spells.
 
Ah another great Chicago event, I think my total driving distance calculations finally past 20k total miles this event ^.^ Here are some of my favorites in no particular order.

1.) Werebear care, special thanks to Liddia, Elledandiril, and Talitha for keeping the barrister calm.
2.) Thanks to Talitha for making the bearister (pun intended) go berserk a few times by jumping into danger.
3.) Favorite line of the event (sorry my ego is about to show) "Seeing the barrister, the guardsmen let you pass"
4.) Finding the secret to acceptance from Milosh, at least for 24 hours or so.
5.) Having my tent back in good repair, huzzah for creative replacements.
6.) Hanging with Jehan
7.) Finding a kindred spirit in Dura'del finally a man with a reasonable view on life!
8.) The dance of negotiation with Gandian, you'll trade me what I want eventually elf.....
9.) Getting to blow up, or at least attempt to, some undead Saturday night, Enan needs to get to blow stuff up more often, who has a spirit forge?!
10.) "Oh no, the barrister works for me" and being in no condition to deny it.
11.) My fancy new cloak, okay so it's not a favorite from the event, but I still think it counts cause I got it Friday....

Ah well back to finish my prep work for the next event, then to figure out how to kill 3 whole weeks without larping...<grumbles>

Besides the ridiculous amount of bugs (and actually wishing it would rain) I had a lot of fun at this event.

Hilights:
Hanging out with Jehan and Elle
All of the lycanthropy drama (especially peoples' reactions to Rhys' hands after she was fighting with a silvered weapon for an extended period of time)
Playing tag... especially chasing Tarqaq around the tavern... running from an aggressive dog is not a great idea!
Getting a Lifestorm belt flag!!!
The duel against Davion for who would take the possible cure (even if he totally chickened out of the deal later)
Interaction with the wolf Alex was playing Friday night (I think it was then...)
Stealthing with Novablade for the Candyman mod
Sparring
Everything Elk Totem! (That bone was so gross looking and smelling though)
 
Favorites!!!

~ Hanging out and playing with some great friends that I haven't seen in a while! :wub2:
~ Sneaking into game with D'rezz to flank the big bads on Friday night :ninja:
~ Going to the graveyard with the less seasoned adventurers and proving that a well placed low level spell can be a life saver as I repelled the big bad. :sweat:
~ Going to the celestial guild and scaring the scribe there as I listed all of my titles and demands :D
~ Elementals! Way to make a celestial caster feel great!
~ Candyman! Stealth 1-shot kills, escorting the escorts out of the building, and the later resulting role play with the barrister; reasonable indeed!
~ Corrupted archer, feeling like an arcane cannon as I chased him around unleashing a conflagration of celestial fury using almost all my spells and my entire burst pool on one encounter. "See those boots over there, they are officially smoking."
~ Gaining a slightly better opinion of Jehan :)
~ Roleplay with Elle and the life/prisions we shared :D
~ Having more follow-up RP with peeps
~ Looking forward to August!!!
~ Duerger beard FTW

That was sooooo hot... no really it was hot and so buggy this weekend yet despite the heat, despite sweating out a liter an hour and the roughly 100 bug bites it was so awesome to get to PC with you guys. I can't name all the fun moments there were so many.

I would like to thank the whole staff for stepping up and giving me a weekend mostly off. What I did NPC I wanted to NPC and that was awesome.

Some Favs:
-Whitepaw-RP/Combat.-All the PCs involved had great reactions, it was fun to play out and be a double edged sword.
-"You made my tabard out of vegetable hide? Elle how could you?"
-"Hogstorm" vs Dark Society battle. My blood was pumpin and I broke my tail. Not to mention I blew apart my E-pool and a lot of evoc on the last one.
-Getting to open up a can on Vrek the Summoner with elle's shortsword!
-Gettting several of a guildmates goals accomplished, getting a couple more guildies favors.
-Dinner! (thanks Daphne for stepping up the game every event oh and breakfast was good too)
-RPing with Enan/Talitha "How much do you pay for that?" and the look on DGs face when I said "The patrols at the border let you in when they recognize the barrister."
- I loved the scaryness of the "Blood Archer" combat and the look of the NPC was wicked.
-All the shenanigans with Pasha Poot the Candyman, his favorites, and euphorias.
-The Return of a brother, and the RP afterwards was really painfull IG for me but awesomely done by the other players.
-Sunday morning RP with Death's Herald (aka Lannister), the blood-oath (finally), and launching that plotline which has been waiting 2 yrs, I am super excited about running that.
-Teaching 9th level spells to Gandian- I had forgotten just how much fun actually investing a real RP session into teaching a skill could be.
-Confusing NovaBlade to death about his plot.
 
Ah! I forgot to mention a few...

Fighting in the Archer mod: "Kill the Kyn (or something like that) with the 2-handed sword!"
Dragging Elle kicking, fighting, screaming, and crying (literally) away from Togashin.
Taking the blood oath
 
Faves:

- Everything Jehan and Rhys
- Getting a new long sword :p
- Swinging said long sword and having to compensate for the reach distance. Thanks for reminding me that the sword is longer.
- Gandian: "I have always wanted to see what it feels like to be Elle" Swings short sword
- All ritual goals done in one weekend.
- Dure'dhel and D'rezz from out of no where.
- Magma Goblins.
- Beltflag reactions
- Hogstorm, I hope that this doesn't stick to long.
- Tusaru + Liddia + Elle = Magic circle and new friends.
- Tets's temporary new threads XD
- Dark Society, really? those guys are pansies. :p
- Toga's return and a 1 minute vision of sorrow
- Being dragged kicking and screaming, Thanks for the awesomes in RP
- Liddia's realization of who cast a ritual on me and why i forgot to break.
- Blood Oaths
- Enan is a were bear not a carebear and the shenanigans.
- "Why would we want you to fix what we did to ourselves?" - DS Member # dead
- True empowerment for the win.

It was fun guys and thanks for all the tasty foods and stuff... I had a blast.

EDIT: Can't wait for the next event and I hope its not as hot and buggy lol
 
-I really enjoyed making some new friends (since I didn't know any PCs this event!)
-Lycanthropy drama. Either Davion is wicked clever or he's a fool who's betrayed his honor.

-More Diplos stuff (I'm interested to see where this goes Nathan...)
-Solid Snaking those euphoria guards. Awesome!
-Trying to convince Thomas's character that I really needed a euphoria fix after he spotted me and then Tetz and others rushing forward to save me!
-Dip me in the chocolate sauce. Hilarious character Paul!
-Gandian, Fire and Ice
-The very real fear I have about my mission from the Knights
-Togashin - this mod is really interesting to me.
-The Dark Society
