Is anyone watching the "Knights of Mayhem" television show? It's apparently about these guys who want to make "heavy armor jousting" a real sport.

I just started the series (I've been recording them on my DVR), so no spoilers!

"Heavy armor jousting" is a real sport. It was illegal in the US for many years, so US jousters mostly went to Canada to train. I know at least one jouster who competes in international competitions. I've seen real jousting in person. It's brutal and scary and awesome. I consider myself pretty tough, but don't think I'd want to do it (not at my age anyway :)

From what I've heard, Knights of Mayhem is bad, and a bad representaion of reenactors in general...the Jersey Shore of reenacting. These guys are only a small fraction of the "real jousting" community.
