With the help of green and more seasoned adventurers and other mistwalkers, a series of trials were completed to recover more than enough seals to open Celestian Dawnbringer's vault in the Sanctum. Our heroes faced many threats and challenges along the way, to include tests of lore, memory, perseverance, combat ability, mental flexibility, skill, and knowledge. While some were within the chambers of the trials, others in waiting outside the chamber as well as forces at home in the village of Knoch'len were assailed by undead who notably walked in the daylight. They seemed to be coming forth from a large skull that appeared with a strangely familiar greenish, slitted eye, watching the group and disgorging terrors to assail the area. After the first of these such assaults, a piece of thin white paper bearing the symbol of a crowned skull was left in the dust of the magical skull they were coming from. A guard-turned-adventurer appeared to the group shortly before the fray, with the news that before he was brought there by an unknown force the village was also being attacked by undead during daylight hours.

During the trials, a guide of sorts explained the rules and objective of each test for the seals. Some of the trials contained strange orbs inside small circles of power, brimming with energy representing various foundational and magisterium elements and aspects. All three of these orbs were able to be harvested by the group, but their purpose is as of yet unknown. Upon retrieving enough seals from the trials to enter the vault, the team was able to wear down and defeat a golem that guarded the final objective - a green, rune-covered scroll case that held the ritual scrolls needed to end the threat of the Ritual Hounds plaguing the ritual casters within the Kingdom.
