Latex weapons, NERO Approved? Since when??

Since never. It might be allowd in Nero International, but no Alliance chapter would pass it if they were following the weapon rules.

This is a common thing. NERO Int does NOT tell latex weapon makers that there are two NEROs and so people keep asking Alliance if they're legal.

Still a pretty nice looking hammer.

If the lawsuit is any indication, Joe doesn't think there ARE two nero's, just Nero Int and some knock off copy who calls itself Nero. Sigh, can't we all just get a long sword?

Can we drive said long sword through said childish owner's spleen? Or just split him gut to gutcheon?

Check out the first line of specifications:
"Officially Approved by Nero for LARP use"
NERO International has taken a number of positive steps in moving forward on better weapon tech, including working with assorted LARP supply groups and companies to put their official seal of approval on product. Most non-American LARPs moved to latex-coated weapons a while ago. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the players, in conjunction with fear of litigation and some weird ego thing, NERO Alliance has chosen to promote boffers over safe, good-looking reps.

One thing to note is that it's not that latex weapons per se are disallowed, it's just that it's very hard to find a latex weapon made to NERO Alliance specifications. Your best bet is to either contact a custom latex weapon to Alliance standards or make your own.

The unfortunate part is that NERO Alliance standards make any sword look like crap. :(
