Magic item/ weapon question

Hey guys,

If you have an magic item that can cast a flame bolt or something to that effect, instead of using a packet can use your weapon as the delivery.

Short answer: No.

Slightly longer answer: There are a couple different effects you can have on a magic item (well, a lot of different effects, actually). One is "Expanded Enchantment" which is probably what you have, and it lets you activate an item to cast a spell. Another effect is "Channel Spell" which lets you channel a spell through your weapon as a Spellstrike.
