Sunday Mars will be the closest to Fortannis than it has been since 305. If you are interested:
Step 1: Head outside right after sunset and look toward the southeastern sky.
Step 2: Find the almost full moon.
Step 3: Look up and to the right, and find what looks like a bright red star.
That red object is Mars and this is a great time to observe one of our closest celestial neighbors. If you are interested, you can come and observe using my telescope at Argo's Rest.
