It is 11PM and I am finally not tired anymore (today was rough). In other words, it was a great weekend. A few highlights.
The crab singing fishbowl was about to go out and Todd says that I need to white headband it in case combat occurs. I give him an exasperated look, given that a plot member and his girlfriend are the principle NPCs on it. Then someone reminds me that by white headbanding the encounter I get to actually watch it. I nearly broke down laughing watching Simon and Khorwyn try to "herd" the crab, especially when there were times that I was certain that the crab was actually approaching Simon to attack, not because it liked the singing.
Danny Perez was so proud of himself during the pre-Logistics wave battle, because he managed to take me down without head shotting me. Naturally, during the late night wave battle, on my last life, he smacks me right in the head. As he is searching me, he whispers, "If you give me a gold again, I am beating you up."
Bill's descriptive narrative of the Stormblade's nautical assault on the Vacarran fleet. If you closed your eyes, you really felt like you were in the midst of a massive sea battle and you really could believe that the heroic and insanely suicidal Stormblades were assaulting a 20 ship fleet with just a single vessel.
The hunt for the monstrous mongooses, otherwise known as Epins. The NPCs were basically all exhausted from a middle of the day, uphill wave battle. So, I threw on my crazy dwarven hermit garb and did my damnedest to entertain as much of the town as possible for about half an hour or so. Special thanks to Jesse Hennesy for latching on to the fishbowl and running with, even after he realized what was going on.
Syriah flirting her way into the first module of the weekend by gently flirting with the dumbstruck 14 year dockmaster assistant I was playing. Even better was the enormous amount of witty batter, mostly teasing of the poor boy, that went almost entirely over his head, by the rest of the module crew.
All things Stormblades! Every last one of them went over and above to make the NPCs enjoy both roleplaying and crossing swords with them. That is something that is highly appreciated, especially on a weekend with few NPCs.
The shortest lived hydra ever. The thing had nine heads and uber stats, but the first PC to see it opened up with a death spell. It hit and after a moment of the NPC clearly mentally tallying his card, the head fell over dead. Having found the beast's weakness, roughly half the heads fell to death spells.
I was collecting arrow packets before moving to the next part of the crazy long final wave battle and only had found about half a dozen. I muttered lightly under my breath about being out and PCs having grabbed them all. Some PCs must have heard me, because suddenly I was being handed about 20 arrow packets by PCs. Thanks guys. The level of fair play that shows is absolutely phenomenal.
Balls getting a magic item identified. I won't give anything away, but I laughed so hard I nearly cried.
At one point during the weekend, Chad and I were talking and I commented that he was all but staff. I pointed out that we let him behind desk freely and that he consistently was an encounter head. I told him that becoming adjunct was basically just a matter of him expressing interest. The next morning, Todd mentions to Michelle that he is a new adjunct. I smile and said "told you so" to Chad. Welcome and congrats, bud!

Probably more, but I feel like I lost track of half the weekend. Can't be at next weekend (conflicts with Origins), but looking forward to July.
