Just an FYI for people who fly from chapter to chapter, starting in Jan 2018, residents in the following states will need to have a passport, permanent resident card/green card or a military ID to board a plane. The Real ID Act of 2005 states that state-issued IDs from these nine states do not meet the minimum security standards of the federal government:
  • Kentucky
  • Maine
  • Minnesota
  • Missouri
  • Montana
  • Oklahoma
  • Pennsylvania
  • South Carolina
  • Washington
Figure should say it now to make sure your passports are up to date :) More info here: https://www.forbes.com/sites/lealane/2017/09/30/new-rule-residents-in-nine-states-will-need-passports-for-domestic-flights-in-2018/#2de466a96e59

I'm 99% sure New York is also one of those states where you don't need to provide proof of citizenship/country of origin to obtain your drivers license.
