Brain is still processing, but some top shout outs:

Thank you to the players of: Alis, Brom, Faren, Vira, and Morningtide for some amazing PC to PC roleplay. I got a lot of healthy emotion in this event due to you all.
Thank you to the Roddens for their NPC's roleplay in the scene with town guard investigation.
Thank you to plot and the NPCs for the depth in the Book plot both in RP and the scenario itself.
Thank you to Jenn for harassing me hard core in the Aunt Cotton scene.
Thank you to the kitchen staff for some amazing food and service.
Thank you to all of the NPCs that trudged out into the snow repeatedly.
Thank you to Jesse and his staff - and whoever volunteered to write some of the scenarios this weekend - I really enjoyed both the IG and OOG efforts brought forth this weekend.

I had a lot of fun this event! My highlights:
- Playing the Goat Herder who was trying to find her stolen sheep. Nox drives a hard bargain, but I got my favorite goat back, and even sold a few to him and his friends.
- The fact that the goat thing just kept going, and kept growing. I couldn't stop giggling at "AGE: The Acarthian Goat Exchange".
- Accidentally flubbing my cure wounds spell and turning into a Necromantic caster. Yeah, that happened. Learning how to roll with the punches, even with mistakes I make... is fun... even if also frustrating, lol. It was fun talking to Frank as he tried to convince me to turn a new leaf, and I scoffed at how unrealistic that was, considering I'd cast necromantic magic. I learned a lot about Necromancy because of this whole thing, too.
- Ember. (not the PC, but the fire elemental, whose name is Ember, who I played). I had a lot of fun learning how to play a Fire Elemental better, and she was so sweet. I want to bring her back more <3
- Sitting as Ice Elementals, watching PCs walk up with snowballs in their hands. One of our NPCs asked "So, if they they throw actual snowballs at us, can we say it heals us? We ARE Ice after all.". YES
- NPCing with Izzy. He had a lot of really good advice, and I think that my spellcasting has improved because of it. Also, playing hateful humans is surprisingly more fun than I thought it would be. I was able to be over the top with it, and then I TOTALLY UNDERSTOOD when all the PCs came in and slaughtered us, lol.
- Playing Nox's mom. OH MY GOD the PeatNox Marriage-Pregnancy scandal prank was so hilarious! And by a small chance (due to circumstances of where people were) the whole thing ended up playing out in the Tavern instead of in Tent City. It was HILARIOUS. And being able to play a part in that was just splendid. It was so hard not to break character and laugh as PCs kept coming up to congratulate them... or when people suggested that it was instead NOX who was pregnant. Also, getting to accuse PCs of having sent the letter about the pregnancy (including accusing Baron Darius) was a hoot. (Note: And yes, we all understood it wasn't a legal call, but it was still amusing to hear "Healing Arts, are you pregnant?" teeheehee).

  • The fabulous "FML" look that went across 10+ faces when the "racechange" formal went off Friday night.
  • The fact that 80% of the conversations about the racechange were tear-filled discussions about how it would affect sex lives.
  • Vampire bunnies are always fun...but the vampire snowmen bunnies out back of the tavern were amazing. ;-)
  • The squire trials were stressful and well thought out...sorry I missed the first one, but glad I got to show up and speak at the second.
  • Slop. Ew and Yum.
  • Having an honor duel with blooddrinker orcs.
  • Peat/Knox and the wedding/pregnancy fiasco. Laughed so damn hard. Thought Knox was going to kill me on the spot for offering to make the wedding official.
  • The merchants' guild late-night ambush. Simple setup, but a lot of fun to keep 6-8 PCs dead silent in a creaky cabin. Plus, smarmy haggling when the bandits arrived.
  • NPCing...was thrilled that the escort mod went off well. Never know when trying weird/different things.
  • Humans for Humanity. Screw those guys. Love the LARP-KKK, but only in the "love to beat those guys to death" way. The arena fight was loads of fun and well-handled. Had a great time with all the nasty IG banter.
  • Anarchy fight. Whichever NPC it was that thought I was dead and tried dragging me to the caster to be created as undead...so sorry for the scare you got when I pushed away your hand and ran. Btw, I was faking being dead. ;-)
  • Some seriously great combat coordination on both sides of the isle, as well as some stellar RP. Kudos to all!

-Partying with Peat was fun, for sure. Also decidedly tense, which was an interesting dynamic. I loved the part where Echo drew a truth that said "What action in your past would you take back?" and his answer was to leave the game and the tent altogether. XD
-Peat's death and everything about it. It was HORRIBLE but also terrifying and really enlightening for my character. It was such a pinnacle moment for everyone standing there to see Puck carrying Peat's lifeless body while wearing only his socks, trying to get her to the healers guild fast enough only to have her dissipate in his arms at the door.
-Skeld's death was also one of my favorite moments for some of the same reasons. Racing blindly through the orcs to try to heal him and get him back on his feet only to be cut down myself was both intense and meaningful and I loved it and everything that followed. Special thanks to Will, Nissa, Cassie and Jordan for making that night so iconic and meaningful for my character and for me.
-The look on Abtus' face when his "bear" fell off.
-The look on Fell and Nyt's face when Alis attempted to charge Kendrick with a blade in her hand. I had a trickle of fear down my spine and a brief IC thought of "I am about to die."
-The confrontation between Wolsey and Alis, however brief, was an absolute turning point. Thanks, John! <3
-Ember the fire elemental! Oh my GOSH such a cool little fishbowl! It was so neat to discover a new shiny thing, and also do some good. Made me all warm and fuzzy. :)
-"I knocked over a TREE!!! ...Oh, we're still fighting."
-The pot pie. Oh my giddy aunt. I have found something I like more than the quiche. So goooood.
-The weather. It was perfect. Cold but not so cold as to keep me from enjoying mods and such.
-Asking the Ducal Guard in the Howling Woods if he'd seen any Unicorns, having him laugh and say "UNICORNS?! Unicorns aren't -real!!-".
-Deep in-character conversations are always a favorite. Thanks to Porch, Will, and Ian(Abtus) most especially.

All in all, a very good season. Lots of good RP, lots of IC drama. Can't wait for next year. :)

Unfortunately I was only there for part of the event and the need to get some things out in the season closer meant I had a very weird event (e.g., I didn't fight in any wave battles), but some highlights from the time while I was there (at least those I can talk about):

* The Paladin Trial. Dani deserves a huge amount of credit for putting this together and running it successfully. A bunch of us chipped in ideas for questions, but they put them together, organized the format for the actual trial, and was on-point for communicating and coordinating everything that went into that from the NPC side. Kara and Miguel also did great jobs as their paladins. This was just amazing. From the back-and-forth between the paladins and the liege/squire to the incredible testimonies given by the community and all of the RP that resulted both before and after.
* I had two encounters happen this event that I had been trying to orchestrate for months. Finally they ran, got out into the world, and made contact where they were supposed to.
* Dani as Unicorn. The final costume was amazing and I wish I had gotten to see the RP.

My memory is always terrible, so I'm certain I've forgotten plenty of things, but here we go:

-Food was fantastic. It was especially torturous, in the best way, sitting in the tavern post-H4H battle smelling the potpies finish.
-NPCs were awesome in all my interactions. RP, make-up, story, etc.
-Always so appreciative of how much work you all do so I can have a bit of escape for a while.

-O' Baron, Where Art Thou?
-Kendrick getting himself invested into the Warchester ward.
-The absolute pandemonium Friday night in the tavern right after the ritual was dropped on the crowd.
-Murder train leaving the station to go burn down the H4H office and running straight into a horde of Blood Drinkers that were planning to roll into town unannounced. The look on Jesse's face when he saw the group Captain Roberts and Fynn were running ahead/scouting for. Our panicked run back to the group when we saw all the orks. Always fun when Players and Plot both surprise one another.
-Murder train part 2 leaving station right after fighting the orks. Slightly smaller, but actually got a chance to interact with some H4H folk and look around town a bit for vengeance.
-Being part of the Peanut Gallery in and around the tavern during the Squire Trials. Got to chit-chat with a couple people I hadn't really talked to before.
-Beginning some melee training with Squire Kendrick (and Parzivel by association it seems, though no complaints).
-Skipping Peat's tent party that ended up being raided by Blood Drinkers and the emotional roller coaster upon returning from a mod and hearing Peat had died, not knowing where Ember was, and then hearing combat still in tent camp.
-The anger boiling over from people when it looked like only 8 people were allowed to go confront the Prestidigitator (I called him Preston for short, others went with Presto or Z), and half of them hadn't been directly involved up until that point.
-That release when they got to go full murder-hobo on the assembled, trapped mass of humans.
-Meeting someone completely unexpectedly for a Plot I was poking a little while back. Feel bad because I was starving and mentally half way to NPC mode, and Jay had already pulled some strings to get me dinner first so I could portray a thing for him right after, so I was totally distracted and probably could've/should've done more with it.
-NPC shift: Having Thorgrim give me a quick run down on a few brewing terms in the event PCs got smarmy and wanted to talk shop with my micro-brewer. Getting strangled by Kendrick as a crunchy. Having my downed skeleton in the Anarchy fight get carried to Baron Darius for medical attention. "Healing Arts: Are you dead?" "...yes?"
-Walking from Greenwood back to the Tavern with Kendrick, Arikia (sp?), and Lumi, a little bit after Anarchy, and totally jumping at shadows. We were convinced there were monsters waiting in the shadows halfway up the trail and made a run for it. There were no monsters (that chased us, at least!).
-Guarding the side door with Puck when Vampires were harassing the Tavern, from the tactically superior position of sitting upon a bench. Lots of good chat while he maintained a wall of force and I watched his back.
-Skill training with Panax and Elle Sunday morning.

Thank you all for a wonderful conclusion to my first ever LARP season.

I'm going to miss a bunch of stuff, but here goes....
  • Getting invested in Warchesters Ward. Thanks for being such good sports. :)
  • The NPC fight with 7 scions vs Peat's tent. What an epic encounter in so many ways. The PCs were so creative and it made that encounter so memorable.
  • Having some personal plot with my brother Pazivel. All the HFH stuff was pretty impactful to Kendrick, I really liked how I got into hot water with a large population of the town and how I had to dig myself out of the screwup I did. Fun times! I also liked it when I almost got attacked by Alis.
  • Revenge on Anarchy. He killed me last year, it felt good downing him.
  • Walking back with Arikaya, Lumi and Fynn on Saturday night. I swear we were all going to get jumped.
  • Defending the tavern from vampires. I love siege fights and it looked like that it was about to turn into one.
  • Having to back out of my NPC shift because of RP reasons. Will H figured out that it might look bad if all the scions were NPCing during the big HFH encounter. I'm glad I got to be there for the fight as a PC to help out my friends gain some justice even if I couldn't go with Lagarde on the pre-fight mod.
  • Watching my mentee magic storm the **** out of a bunch of humans for humanity.
  • Getting more time to spend with Fynn and Ember. I really like those guys to pieces.
  • Accepting Arikaya as a step sister to the scions. We all love her to pieces and the ceremony went off so well.
  • Scion NPC shift. I feel like it really does bring our team closer together. I enjoy it each time we do it.
  • Broms and Ri's Vigil (only caught the end of it because of HFH drama), paladin trials and RI's knighting. These two are so deserving of all of this, I was happy to be there for it, especially the paladin trials. Super happy to be part of it.
  • Darius's healers mod on Sunday. I was crashing hard core but had a lot of fun doing it. The PCs assisting were really getting into acting and the PCs trying to heal us did an excellent job. So different and fun.
  • Interacting with Dame Indra and talking about how the paths of celestial magic and nobility intersect. It's something that I know will come up more in the future and was especially appropriate as I had gotten into some hot water with the ritual in the tavern. Also I had a great interaction on Friday night with Dame Ketteridge about it as well.
  • Rivervale being back together (cept for Brooke). So nice to have everyone there. I love the team to pieces. :)

It was an interesting event for me getting to switch sides and join team NPC, but it was certainly an enjoyable experience. Some highlights:

  • Playing lots of casters! I have never played a caster at larp before, but I had been practicing a bit at fighter practice over the past couple months. While my arm was about shot and my packet velocity probably dropped by 50% by the end of the event I enjoyed giving it a go and I thought I did a decent job of it.
  • Getting to know a lot of our NPC's better. Despite a relatively small number of NPC's at this gather, they are a hard working group of individuals and it's great to see the camaraderie from the NPC team and how no one ever complains despite being run ragged all weekend. I am excited to meet a lot of future characters when they eventually decide to PC. We have a great NPC crew.
  • Speaking of hard working crews, plot team and the amount of planning and logistics that goes on for an event is insane. When I looked at the event plan sheet I was blown away by just how much content is generated for each game, and it really makes you appreciate all the time and effort that goes into this game between gathers.
  • Big *** lizard fight! Jay did an awesome job directing us and at least from an NPC perspective it was a hell of a lot of fun to wreck people.
  • Backpacking Anarchy. I had never backpacked anyone before and it was such a huge challenge trying to juggle spell shields, buffs, and healing, while also throwing the occasional death packet. I lost count of how many prisons got thrown his way but it was way more than I thought town had.
  • Blood Drinkers!!!!
  • I didn't get to do too much with the HFH fight except for the big battle with them but it was a fun fight.
  • Annex mod late Saturday night. I felt that mod was a great challenge and the PC's gave us an excellent fight.
  • Late night murder crew as Orcs along with Locke's vampire. When he got hit by the ice spell and said "oooooooohh so chilly, no effect" I just about lost it. That was an intense fight for all involved, and I hope we did a good job of making the Blood Drinkers scary, rather than just crunchies who are easily dealt with.
  • Breakfast burrito brought by Faren that I ended up having for lunch and then delicious pot pie for dinner are the only things that kept me going into the wee hours Sunday morning.
  • Seeing how much my Warchester team has come together and improved both in RP and fighting ability. I was sad to not get to be there with them at the last event of the year but looking forward to much drama and insanity next season.

  • Beginning the first night by seeing more giant lizards. Who knew that it's parents would come back for vengeance!
  • The mayhem involved in the tavern after the transform scroll went off. Next time, if a ritual starts I am going much, much further away.
  • Starting the angry mob with Lumi and Jax, and as we're halfway to the Humans for Humanity offices, finding 100 orcs and immediately running the other way.
  • Waking up Saturday morning to a disheveled goat herder looking for her goat, after buying a goat the night before. SOMEONE sold me a stolen goat.
  • Saturday evening, actually finding the CORRECT house for the humans for humanity, and getting to finally unload some anger. Such a fun fight!
  • Getting to be the one to actually take down the prestidigitator with a double tap prison, such a satisfying finish.
  • Alchemical truth or dare! My new favorite late night party, much more fun than alchemical roulette :)
  • Teaming up with Egil, once again later that night to take down Anarchy for the first time.
  • Bear cave mod! So much fun, especially going modding with new people.
  • Waking up sunday morning to my own mother, and then finding out why she was here in the tavern with everyone listening. I expected the marriage drama to be over and it came RIGHT back!
  • Late night NPC crew with Dia, Jack, Jordan. Very fun people to go NPCing with, especially as some weird vampires!
All in all, a very awesome event :) Looking forward to the next season with everyone!

VERY exciting game!

-The change to human was shocking, and really fun. I enjoyed storming off to give some bigots a piece of my mind*
-The roleplay-at-a-distance with Faren as he kept an eye on Peat
-Snow fights, snow wrestling, snow bunnies. Snow.
-The Scion-orc party crashers! What a fun fight, full of interesting roleplay. Possibly the most useful Peat ever has been or will be in a fight. Alchemical roulette saves the day!
-Dying. The whole process was filled with really intense roleplay, particularly with Puck and Bryony. Puck scooping her up and throwing her in the ward, then pouring every potion he could find in the tent down her throat because there wasn't time to read the labels. Good effort, and something very magical about being drunk, dead, and in love. :)
-Bryony's resurrection story. She knows how to make me cry :)
-Discovering that death de-humanized me, and experiencing Jax's reaction to my restoration to full dryad-ness. That was intense.
-Man, I got carried a lot. Love that.
-The surprise visit from Knox's mother! More shocking than being turned into a human. She seems like a nice lady, Knox. Would it kill you to write once in a while?

***I forgot the goats. Several fun transactions took place there!

*that's code for burn down their houses and feed them their own pets

Forgot to add: loved that dirty look Jesse dropped on Mac while being escorted out after sentencing. Not sure how many got to see it.

Friday
- I forget my horns and packets, since I was worrying about remembering all my special snow gear...but then forgetting the basic stuff. Thanks Liz for letting me borrow your extra horns, to bad I did not get to wear them that much.
-Eep, there is a Kenderick in our ward!?
-Ohh my god did they just say the lIzard knocked down the building and it is swinging 25 massive...
- I used up almost all my arrows in one fight, where is my blacksmithing dwarf when I need him?
-Knox warning me there is a ritual cast in the corner we should move away from it just in case it backfires...
-I am human?!?!?!
-Poor Jax...
-Lets go kill the Humans for Humanity!!
-Uhh is that a sh*t ton of orcs heading our way, umm....
-I will never again run up heart attack hill, nope, never! They can burn down the tavern for I care...
-We make it up heart attack hill and where is everyone, damn it, we have to go all the way to Greenwood to get them.
-I get some of my rage out on the orcs, I really have no more arrows, luckily Laggard is a pack-rat and I have more arrows, yeah!
-Missed the second mob to go kill the Humans for Humanity while trying to find arrows, sad Ember, she wanted to go kill them too :(
-Yeah, bonfire and then having some potion fun conversations with Lumi, Kendrick and Fynn.

Sat
-Met up with Faren, we had fun finding components in the woods.
-Then met up with more peeps and killed some crunchies, wait, there are morning cruchies?!
-Get to talk to Puck in game, though he does kick me out of the blanket, just cause I happen to like fire, how rude :p
-Damn that lumber NPC guy can run fast (Who knew if you take off Thorgrims armor he can run really fast) and the NPC with all of his wives.
-Getting to talk to Anders about fire elemental.
-Then heading for lunch, they had a great slop event being held at Greenwood, but sadly when I sat down I was just dead. So I took a nap instead.
-After nap went out trying to find out if anyone found any info the Humans for Humanity.
-Nothing much was happening so we decide to go have some fun in Peat's tent. Umm yeah...my character has now decided she will only be in a tent if it is warded.
- Then being super pissed that I help get Peat killed and knew how that was going to affect Faren.
-I really just wanted to go and kill something and then finding out they found Humans for Humanity but not being able to go on the mod, Ember was mad.
- Luckily, we were able to go kill them. My character has never really been a rage kill person, she is more the love and adventure person, it was fun getting tap into her rage side.
- Poor Fynn and Wolsey having to deal with me esp since Wolsey had to deal with Jax and Lumi already.
- Then eating the yummy pot pie with no onions, thank you kitchen staff :)
-Getting NPC some fun characters. It is nice getting to act different for a bit.
-Then getting to fight as the undead. I love getting a pole arm and going after peoples feet :) It was really hard to see anything though with PC being all backlited.
-Then heading for bed because I was coughing up a lung, this cold air gets to me.

Sun
-Missing my morning walking buddy.
-Knox's mom is here, soo funny.
- Finding out the trial and healing training at the same time :(
-Ohh my gosh the healing training was soo much fun and soo helpful and we got cookies!
- Then having Baron Darius start training me for level 5 spells and talking about how silence could be useful for me and then having someone come up to see if he could silence Presdi..... (what ever his name was, pick a shorter name next time :p ) , if he starts getting rowdy during the sentencing part of the trail. Baron Darius decided this would be good training for me, so I follow him.
-Ohh my gosh the look Jesse gave Baron Darius was scary!!!
-Then becoming Bels new fire apprentice, who could ask for anyone better?

Sorry, I had to take a week to digest :p

Kendrick scaring the crap out of Wolsey as soon as a ward was up. You are hilarious.

Friday night Lizard Fight. I *finally* have max scholar armor and 10 body and felt pretty damn good about it. I *perfectly* block an attack from a lizard...realize it was 25 massive (better than the 45 I Thought I heard) and go "Oh of course" and fall down. I think Lagarde got me up about 3 or 4 times that fight! Sorry dear! I felt bad about not blowing it up harder, but with inevitable HFH plot I was not blowing all my boom on it. Finally they died.

Coming into the tavern from something outside and having Kendrick excitedly tell me that guy over there ALSO hates some of HFH and has information and will shortly be casting a vision scroll for us. He was SO happy to give Lumi "good" info on HFH.

Hearing Jesse tell us all non humans now appear human, seeing the crowd all look a little concerned, hearing Jax ask if it was a celestial ritual and realizing **** is going to hit the fan when Jesse says yes.

Having to gently put down a berzerked Jax who was using my dagger on me and my friends while coping with my horns and ears vanishing.

Watching basically the whole tavern turn on poor Kendrick. And being a little pissed off that now that these guys are affected my ongoing problem for months and now suddenly worth burning down houses for.

Having Kendrick and Baron Egil try to placate the crowds and sitting there debating if it is worth telling the angry mob where to go, though I was smart enough to assume that YES DUH they have a ward. Finally saying **** it I know where it is, lets go and having a bunch of belted humans trail us to make sure we don't do something stupid (Would we ever)??

Then hearing the scout group say 75-100 Blood drinkers are headed our way and hightailing it out of there.

After the blood drinker fight I was too cold and tired to continue on the rampage, word got back that hey it was warded and his house has recently been moved out of.

Hanging out getting "intoxicated" in our cabin with Ember and Kendrick.

Going with Kendrick and Dame Arikaya to talk to HG and MG people about figuring out what circle presti douche recalled to.

When trials started at the tavern deciding to look for trouble with Peat, Bryony and Jax. A couple squires looked none to pleased by this.

Having a snowball fight when we realized we weren't going to get far. Also the joy I felt seeing vampire snow bunnies.

MORE SNOWBALL fights. Lumi has a weird rep for being cold hearted, I threw snow at a lot of my friends.

Having a wonderful lunch in Greenwood with Rivervale and Company. You guys are great. Thanks for sharing :)

Going back up and doing the mages guild mod and seeing Dani's disappointment that half the group has mis understood what they said we were chasing. LYNX not LINKS. After a very unsuccessful time in the snow with that heading up and hearing that Peat has died.

Being the one to ask Jesse OOG what that means for Peat and human looking. Telling her that and getting her "hair" and watching Jax loose his **** at this and have others offer to help him. Calling for Wolsey and running to keep an eye on them. I can't do anything to "help" Jax since all my binds hurt him anyways.

Almost missing the train for the initial HFH raid. I was pretty vested in this plot and listening to others be upset they didn't get to go was not flying for Lumi. Hurt sister, two months trying to find a way in, yeah no, get in line for later :p

Taking belts that could say we arrest HFH and knowing they'd refuse. RAGE LUMI ACTIVATE

Doing a really good job not dying and hitting the human that charmed Wolsey while he was in FRONT of her. Really well hit ice storm.

Going into the big HFH battle with a magic storm, confine, prison and all wand charges. I started out with wands and then Baron Egil and Knox said they'd support me, magic storm them down. That was the best casting of my LIFE. I felt wonderful. I was not going to stop until they were all dead. I really enjoyed saying magic storm, throwing and hearing the "thunk" of a sheild. :) Many props to Knox, Peat and Bryony who kept the battle turret filled. :)

Watching knox go for prestijerk and refusing to move from my spot in the field until I was sure we had him.

Dinner! Yum!

NPCing for anarchy fight was fun, but man am I bad at melee.

Heading to a very sleepy alchemical truth or dare. Just hung out for a bit and decided not to late night murder squad with them.

Vampires everywhere. Jeez. hanging out and keeping the tavern safe while praying more people showed up was stressful.

Watching the trial the next morning and being so stressed, and then being asked to tone down my mystical energy while near the front and the duchess. Controlling myself from my usual snarky outbursts. Then being thisclose to murdering the HFH guy who admitted to torturing Lumi's sister. ALL of my willpower went into not killing him. Lagarde and Jax seemed a little nervous, I won't lie.

DRAGON!!! Oh man, next year will be rough.

There was more, but wall of text!

Great event, thanks everyone for a wonderful season!
