October Favs

Absolutely! How could I have not mentioned rping with grim! Raav missed grim muchly, and it was awesome to sit and talk and catch up on stuff with him. Defiantly a weekend long fav!

I want to thank everybody for making me feel so welcome every time I come out to HQ. I wish you were closer and I could make it more often. Next year I will be trying for more than the two visits a year I did this year and last.

This event was great and i have a laundry list of favs:

- Team Elf (and 2 human ladies): From setting up cabin decorations, Friday night tea, chilling between adventurers, and the adventures themselves, running with my Safari team was great. We killed so many undead, even I was surprised. Thank you Jeremy, Henry, Dan, Lauren, and Danielle. Sean, sorry we couldn't work you in for day 2.

- Necropolis Mod: Delaulder solving riddles before they are barely started, Plot rolling with our change of course halfway through, fun fights, and an Insane final act. It was a great way to get my weekend going. Chad's taunting throughout was neat too... I got nervous when he rifted my sword out... I could have done that mod all weekend long. Also, the black diamond marks were pretty neat too...

- Friday night Orc fight. The drumming, proscribe effect, and intelligent undead on the flanks, made this my favorite night fight of the event.

- Helping Ravna out OOG by giving her a teabag to rep her mint vial she "acquired" IG. Glad to be of service.

- Being a mist-traveling guild concierge service. Matching people to various guilds in the lands I travel based off of personal taste, and how each guild is run. It's neat that we have such a diverse community of guilds to choose from to create the need for such a position. My favorite was go to land x, to find your guild, but only speak to y about it, as if you speak to z you won't enjoy it. I stand by that advice, no matter how complicated it may have come across.

- Smoke bombs throughout the weekend.

- Arcane Paranoia while climbing the mountain with Qualin and Anna. I had a bane and fast thinking prevented what would have become a mages duel between Henry and me.

- Getting to know Alora. Lessons throughout the weekend, including my marathon lecture (well over an hour) in the tavern Saturday night (while sloooowly sipping a glass of askitir, trying not to get too drunk). That RP reminded me why I do what I do with magic. I hope to cross paths again in the future. Also, after the long lesson I was putting on my cold gear to go out to the fire when Alora says I suddenly looked intimidating (after putting on my scarf and coif). I asked why, as I'd just been giving her lessons in healing for quite some time, here response "sure, but during that time you didn't look like you were going to kill me"... I had to chuckle.

- Ulthoc asking me some "outside the box" ritual questions. I think he was surprised how outside the box I went, but I figured I'd give him exactly what he asked for.

- Fighting with Darlassia Saturday night, and filling a large segment of the line with just Nathan and Myself for a couple minutes. Not much came our way, but I'm positive had something tried to it would have been dealt with accordingly.

- Sunday morning wake-up undead. Looking out my door while I was still waking up and getting ready, I saw some newer adventures surround an undead, but that it was immune to their weapons. Grabbing my swords, I ran out to face it... without armor, items, shoes or sox. It was a fun little fight. Handing off my sword to a very excited dwarf to use on the next wave while I finished getting ready seemed to make his day.

- Gnoll killing Sunday, and surprising people by running a few of them down.

- Deathing things on Sunday... Always fun to do. Avian trying to cast his first death spells too... and blowing one of the encants. I was there to pick up the slack for him.

- Qualin dusting round 2 of the Sunday lich in a single blow.

- Final wave battle shenanigans, from Amaranthus getting my attention by calling "Liche!" to get me to pay attention, to using all the tricks I could think of that I still had in memory, including the rarely used sanctuary item. Quietly reminding Avian not to pass his celestial slayer to certain races... look on his face was priceless.

- Qiu Jun-Wu vs. Qualin epic paper-scissors-rock match for a paralysis gas... 5 ties in a row. We apparenlty are trained in the same style of paper-scissors-combat

- Guitar playing Saturday... and Avaian's waylays.

- Being more fighter then caster all weekend.

- Getting two lost cloaks (costuming) returned to me after 2 seasons.

There are plenty more, but I'm going to stop here. This event was great. I want to thank all the tireless NPCs (and the tired ones too!)

Also, I know I told lots of people, but the Joint CT/NH closer in a few weeks is going to be great. (the CT/NH events before it, 1 each, will be too) But the joint closer should be especially special. I hope all of you can make it! Its November 5-7, see NH boards for more details as date gets closer.

See you all later this month, or next season!

The event was definitely fun looking back at it as a sum of all its parts. At first I wondered if the event wasnt fun but then I got into a 5 1/2 hour conversation about the event and realized if we can talk this much about the weekend then we had a damn good time.

1)Friday nights wave battle, I loved the creepy drums playing in the background. The fight itself wasnt overly scarely but the background leading up to Friday nights big fight was beyond a doubt game setting.
2)Grim! Regardless of whether we got to fully hang out we still had fun for a few just meeting up and saying hey, and "This is whats going on here, and whats been going on here?"
3)Healers Guild, how I missed just hanging out in there and helping out with interviews, and running around doing various things for the guild in general including my body guard duties. Speaking of which....
4)Saturday nights wave battle and standing back with Kerrigwin as her assigned body guard just chatting over how the battles going and giving running commentary over how things should be handled.
5)Being complimented for pulling off a waylay a few times Sunday was always pretty good. Its nice to see that the build which went into that skill is paying off in spades...and again speaking of which
6)Poker! Thanks Mike V for getting that game setup, simple, fast, and a great way to pass time while waiting for action, any sort of action. And it reminds me I need to be a team player when it comes to card games....-.-'
7)Jorunn, scaring the piss out of the new barbar was one of my most entertaining moments of the weekend. When you take the three biggest guys in the healers guild surround the new adventurer and start off by saying "Remember when we told you we would come talk to you about certain issues when they arise?" the look of mortification on your face was epic. I love the RP with you, and cant wait to see ya again IG.
8)Balls! Duffy I keep thanking you for getting Risi and I into this game and its weekends like this which keep having me thank you. The people I've met, the friends I've made IG and OOG are worthwhile me pissing off a supervisor at work with my requests for a weekend off every now and again.
9)Being woken up at night by those spirits...I really am a **** when I wake up in the middle of the night. "Ugh..what is it? Voices...damnit they followed me from Mercatos..shut up and let me get some sleep." Snore, snore, snore.
10)Miranda, your poor bunny gave me so many laughs when I saw the vial and knew it was either vinegar or piss...and then watching someone go through the process of identification. Loken wanted to smack it away but didnt know the person well enough to make a dive for the vial.

@Dave E. - If you liked Biata in your head just wait til you get a Stone Elf in there. ;-)

@Kyle - Right back at you, sir. I still really look forward to Dwarfing with you at Xroads. Auger needs to meet Grim.

Oh my gosh, I'd totally forgotten about that! I was pretty much on the verge of pooping myself both IG and OOG, but that payoff was BEAUTIFUL. Thank you so much for that amazing little RP moment! Had such a blast with you and can't wait to play again! <3

3) coming out as a trick or treater dressed as a bunny... i got lots of treats and balls gave me a trick... i felt a little bad for the person that tasted the urine while working on identifying it...

Piss in vile...Oh gods I feel so bad for who ever that was! You poor thing! Wow...that's just mean

geez, how could I forget the rp with Ignatius and the mental powers, totally awesome Brian.
