Online Character Database

While sifting thru web pages I noticed that the online character database said Ashbury/HQ

"The Alliance Character site requires a new password. To sign up to view your account online email ohiocharacteronline@gmail.com This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and request your password. In the email please include your Alliance Larp Ohio site login name as well as your contact information. You will be emailed your password for the site shortly."

Question 1. if we do not have a ohio login name do you have to register with the ohio site?
Question 2. If Question 1. is a no Whom do the others that are currently capable of using the database send their information to so they may get registered to view said database
Question3. rawr?
 
The online character database is NOT an Ohio function- it was created by Matt Watkins of his own genius. Ohio participates and links to it because we think its a fabulous resource (and our players love it). :) Matt sets it up so that each individual chapter can create their own Logins for members and maintain their own sections of the DB's -- that is why we have our own email so that our logistics staff can quickly see who wants access and has a character in the Ohio database and set them up for it.

Since HQ/Ashbury is listed you should just need to contact HQ Logistics and ask them to set you up for it-- they should be enabled.

If not you can probably PM Matt as "Auric" on the Forums with any other questions(I don't want to give out his email here but he will likely see this and respond).

Of course if you have a character in the Ohio database and want to be set up to view it through the Ohio portal on the www.alliancecharacter.info site please use the email you listed to let us know what you want your user name/password to be and we'll get ya set. :)

HQ is working on getting listed and getting it's characters online, however, the ALC is also reviewing plans for future alliance-wide online database interfacing, so we're not sure yet how things will play out.

You would need to contact your home chapter's logistics team in order to get added to the site.
The site is available for any chapter that wishes to use it, HQ has been setup and has the ability but at this point I don't think they are utilizing the site yet.
