Organizing a Colorado Springs Weekly fighter practice

I'm ready to host the first Colorado Springs Alliance Fighter Practice. I think I have at least a Minimum of loaner weapons made and Jesse is offering to pay us a visit to help get us started and also bring a few extra weapons. From Facebook chat with Jesse, Jay and Mike Porch it's probably going to be held this Saturday, starting around noon going for around 2 hours. The weather is forecasted to be in the 60s and dry that day. This is not an official announcement but a heads up to the Colorado Springs residents who have shown interest. Nothing is official yet. I'll probably be posting an event on Facebook tomorrow or Thursday. Anybody interested please contact me on Facebook

Would you be willing to post it here as well? I don't have/use Facebook and I was hoping to at least show up and meet everyone! Which park is the top choice at this time?

No Problem. I'm going to host it at Dublin Park at. Jay had some trepidations that it might get to busy in the spring and summer but I figure at least in the winter it should work just fine. The park is at the intersection of Tuckerman Lane and Roundtop Drive.

as of Thursday of this weak clear and mid 60s is forecasted
-No costume required
-Loaner gear will be available
-Come to learn, practice or even just hang out.

With friends or just by yourself, come out and enjoy what should hopefully be a beautiful sunny day. Learn the rules to Alliance Larp combat, get some exercise and meet new and interesting people.

Sorry for not being able to make it; I had really hoped to be there, see how it's done, and meet some people. Hopefully I'll be able to attend the next one, assuming this one was a success.
 
Last Saturday's practice was a work in progress. There is no practice this Saturday because I'll be helping with the GenghisCon in Denver. However there is one scheduled February 21st in 'America The Beautiful Park'.

My husband Nicholas and I are opening a medieval combat gym Colorado Springs and we would like to personally invite you all to join us. It is our goal to create a place centered on learning the techniques of medieval fighting. We have regularly scheduled classes that we are teaching, however, it is our goal to foster a place where all the amazing sword fighting groups around town can come together to learn and teach one another. We would like to host a once a week open gym night for various groups to come and practice. We are also hoping to host special events, tournaments, guest instructors, and much more on the weekends.
