I have hidden these dreams from the prying eyes of Thonesh and those of the Isle that you may speak freely No it is I who have hidden these dreams from the prying eyes of Thonesh and those of the Isle that you may speak freely ~a servant of Simiel. It does not matter brother these dreams are hidden ~a servant of Haniel

Oi, You Brotha's be messing with my dreams,
Wha't you mean by secrets? What you kno'?
and Where's my manners Im Badwolf nice to meet you servants
hahahahahaha

Badwolf,

These are two servants or Knights of Life and Death our allies in the upcomming battle against Thonesh. They both are expending energies capable of shredding us to allow us to plan ahead of time here on the dream realms instead of trying to plan under the press of Thonesh's horde.

I saw we use this. I'll respond to any questions here and put up any information I get about what we will face on the island.

Myself and my family will be there. Who else let's start a roll call:

Bart da Rift Hopper
Sera Elledandiril Zanabanath
Jehan
Kalin
Eve
Badwolf
Enan
Regan
Chieftain Kendra (ya owe me now :P)
Lightning
Kealit
Tarque
War Wizard Gandian
Gregory Binks
Pandora
Keeper
Thorador
Hunter Quiry
Thud of Thudington
Jeffery Reginald Percival the third
If your going let me know and I'll add you, if you have information let us all know. I will be getting a good bit in the next few nights from a scouting mission. From there I'll deliver it to everyone and we can form a plan of attack.

Jehan

Though we will like be slightly delayed by a number of castings I know that Myself, Regan, Lightning, Tarque, Gandian, and Kendra will also be in attendance. I am unsure if Chip will make an appearance, I do not believe Foss will.

My information has been shared, although I also know that Jehan, Kalin and I will need perform a ritual of banishment against the beast at some point.

-Enan

Laws:
While this isn’t the most important thing in the world, does anyone know if there’s any legal authority over on the island? As I saw, there appears to be a keep and some soldiers still holding out but I don’t know of any legal authority we should follow. That means, until we establish what the laws are we can either choose to follow the laws of Wayside or self-police in a more frontier style of law. This may need to be established before we arrive.
Leadership:
While Enan put Kalin up as a leader and he is one of the most knowledgeable people I know on the subject of destroying undead, Kalin isn’t a large battle field tactician. Also while the Knights are always held to their oaths they are under no orders to be on the Isle of Thonesh or to take charge and I believe both of them, while happy to advise and fight, would prefer not to assume the mantle of leadership if someone else or a group of someone’s wants to step up.
Resources:
A good place to put up the resources we have available on our side:
• Life storm has a summon artifact scroll and catalyst and a few undead slayers to spellcraft but few components to work with.
• I have imprinted inside my body ½ of a set of planar banishments granted by death. I assume someone has the other half and that this will be important.
• I know someone is working on a 1 ever large radius destroy undead.
Tasks:
This is a good place to start stacking up the to do list some of these things may be difficult or easy but need to be done:
• Travel to the island
• Secure sleeping quarters
• Find and Secure survivors
• Destroy/Banish/Imprison Thonesh
• Introduce Hugo to the Lich King
• ????
Foes:
Any information about what we face, aside from hordes of undead and beyond Thonesh can crush us all like bugs might work out well here:
• Lich King- A boy who was at the original summoning of Thonesh and could easily have information on how to kill him. He is over 1000 yrs. old and protected by several powerful death knights. He will possess a spirit bottle which will need to be found if we are to “convince him” to talk.

Circles of Power

Someone brought this up, does anyone know the status of our access to circles of power?

Earth- maybe she can comment on this, Pandora seems to know where one is and apperantly is keeping the circle free from chaos taint in exchange for investment and at risk to her spirit. Does she know where it is on the island? How many people, if any, will she be able to invest?

Presumably, we will fight towards there when we arrive on friday night or if the circle is still availale to us. Any suggestions?

I beleive we will be given access to a celestial circle I'm not sure we can all be invested it may just be one of us. I don't mind doing it but I'd almost rather it be someone without a guild if we get to pick who simply so no one feels slighted or disadvantaged. If we arent able to identify stuff at all we can always identify it when we get back home...but I know a lot of people hate that idea...i'd just as soon we throw all the treasure in a box in a circle and no worry about it till these people are free then split it all up late saturday but that idea would most likely be met with resistance if not outright anger.

That’s all I can think of, anyone else wanna add anything?

Jehan

Why am I a War Wizard now?

Regardless, I will indeed be there, and whilst I admit that my spirits have not been high as of late, I will do my best to be at my full magical potency. I will be bringing along my new Golem, though I can only store within it for one day, but I am also bringing Gorka's Earth Aura sword, so I should be able to do a fair bit of hurt to undead even when I'm not spirit stored (and more immense hurt with the combination of the golem and that sword).

Any recommendation when I ought to store into my golem, since I can only do it for one day?

Gandian,

My advice, if your willing to take a greater burden on yourself, would be to lead the charge Friday night in the construct, I beleive we will need to fight our way into a nearby village from the keep and given how the undead react they will flock to wherever they rift in. Having you there to police any empowered undead would allow us to move more swiftly and reach relative safety faster.

Satuday's battle against Thonesh might be very dangerous for a construct to be in but then again, if he is very resistant like a dragon's hide to blades and weapons a constructs natural strengh combined with your sister's earth blade and a spellcrafted aura might help win the day.

Either ways let me know what you intend to do and I'll also provide my construct if needs be. Worse come, I have 1 charge left in the flute to get you into the construct. Since other rituals will delay our start we might as well get a few rituals cast too, If I can get your help maybe we can make that two charges or even three.

Jehan

As I mentioned good people of Wayside, I shall do vhat I can to aid in bringing down zhis foe. Some say I am a man of no measurable worth; some need to have their eyes checked.

Count my blade Sonata in to tear down these undead and this Thonesh! If I find any other information regarding this isle, I'll let it be know.

-Gregory Binks

My only goal is to blunt the damage from this assault as much as possible, although I will be teaming up with shadows light to create a few short lived magic items. I intend to give Kendra our 4x Spell Strike Destroy undead in honor of her fallen sister, and we'll have an additional earth blade to hunt the undead with.

Gregory, you are would be most welcome to fight alongside Regan, Lightning, Tarque, Pandora and myself, as are shadow's light, or anyone else I am sure.

As to leadership, If Kalin does not prefer to lead that is fine, I think Gandian could do a fine job, but it might be better to have 2-3 in leadership position with different focuses. If need be I'll take it upon myself and some small group of others to ensure that no one is left behind and that the line is reinforced when needed.

hahahaha Ah now i gotcha,
And Ya I'll Be there to cross da sea,
Gotta keep my hamma arm strong ova da winter times,
Also, My apologies to da Knights of LIFE and DEATH
hahahahahaha and by the sounds of this island
should be quite the fight on our hands gots a question
What kinda terrain is dis island?
Has Da Elements killed most of da wildlife and plant life?
Is It hilly or flat lands? History known of da keep and its people?
What types of undead should i axpect? I know dis one can be answered by most experienced adventurers but itd be good to just know
Should we also expect stuff of chaos being dere?
hahahahahahahaha didnt think i had dat many questions

Badwolf,

Questions are good. I'll do my best:

What kinda terrain is dis island?

It will be a bit colder than our usual fair and I'd prepare for nice and wet as usual. The terrain is not perticularly remarkable or treacherous beyond the island's shores which are craggy and inhospitable.

Has Da Elements killed most of da wildlife and plant life?

Plant life is still readily available but I would be weary if you encounter a blighted plant or even possibly a chaos infused one. There is still live wildlife as the curse of Thonesh affects those with conscious thought first but Kalin and I did see a tracks to undead animals.

History known of da keep and its people?

This is where I am drawing a complete blank... anyone know? I have nothing to say here.

I do know this, the curse was levelled at least over a month ago, so many people have been living on the island in utter terror of everyone walking on 2 feet, so its possible we may be attacked while

What types of undead should i axpect?
A LOT and I mean A LOT of zombies and shamblers, typically not intelligent, harmed by earth blades and healing spells. I've seen several variations of these but they usually look like partially rotten people or animals. Sometimes, the stronger ones are able to spit poisons and the varieties have included "faster zombies, tough but really slow zombies, poison spitters and animal zombies"

Death Knights are usually skeletal undead made from former warriors they can typically fight pretty well and have the ability to channel necromantic energies through claws or weapons.

Thats all the undead I know of to be there.

Should we also expect stuff of chaos being dere?

Yes, Thonesh is a powerfull Chaos Knight elevated in rank and power. We might see chaos elementals fighting against him or against us or both. Banishes work great there or a good old fashioned beat down, be carefull chaos will slip right past your armor and render you into a bleeding lump on the ground faster than you can say corn nut.

If people really think I would be a suitable leader in this struggle, and if nobody else seems ready or wants to step up, then I could try it, I guess. As I mentioned before, I know that my mood hasn't been great, and hopefully trying to organize the cat-herd of adventurers wouldn't just yield unwanted blame and stress.

Danks for the answers Jehan i appreciate it
hahahahaha Just a couple left now,
If one of us is to fall in this island what do you think would happen to our spirits?
The Nightmares that towns been having think it will travel or already be there?
Think we will have a buddy system in the case of separation? mainly so when we walk the island we don't do it alone
Will we have help from the Knights of the elements?
Are we only to defend ourselves if attacked by the workers of life and death or we attacking all fronts?

Badwolf,

If one of us is to fall in this island what do you think would happen to our souls?

Yes, its possible, as a matter of fact were it not for Pandora none of us could resurect without

The Nightmares that towns been having think it will travel or already be there?

I think we stopped the nightmares last marketday for the time being so this shouldnt be a problem.

Think we will have a buddy system in the case of separation? mainly so when we walk the island we don't do it alone

I would suggest you never walk around alone at most market days...on this one walk with a posee.

Will we have help from the Knights of the elements?

I don't know for sure. I'm sorry my knowledge is incomplete.

Are we only to defend ourselves if attacked by the workers of life and death or we attacking all fronts?

I think we may see a bit of both so I'd approach this cautiously.

Jehan

I'll be there to lend my sword to slaying some undead. Time to meet this Kin Kendra keeps talking about.

-Thorador Boulderfist.

Thank you Goodman Thorador, will anyone else travel with you?

Jehan

Just the old solider in me thinks I should make this suggestion. We should have set squads. Also as well as a leader, a chain of command in case the leader falls in battle. I have seen it many times in battle when the leader falls everyone else losses direction. I suggest the leaders, after the squads are formed, set the command chain and everyone else follow it and leave your egos in Wayside. If we do not stay focused and bicker about stupid things none of us will make it back.

Keeper...the likelihood of that happening is somewhere between me seeing Bob the Baker a pauper and Thonesh simple laying down for a killing blow. It would be nice in concept though. I do think if not a Leader at least a head planner. In battle people aren't going to listen to someone just because they said they were the leader, we aren't after all an organized fighting force per say and our lack of central authority is ultimately what makes us so darn tough to take out. We are all free men and women and that freedom means a lot to us...enough to pick up sword and spell and fight like crazy for what we believe in.

That said, It would be great if for one market day we could almost work together cohesively, be nice, share resources and information, all in the name of the Isle's people. I'd be A-OK with Gandian acting as a central repository of knowledge and general organizer/ herder of cats and things. If he feels capable of dealing with all personalities which dot our not so humble town, then I'll at least give him the respect he deserves for trying.

I for one, despite them having no legal authority on the island, will continue to abide by either Knights commands per my strictures and typically wind up listening to whoever takes charge of whatever specific task or adventure I go on, usually the person who asks me to go along.

Are any other members of your group going to be there? Also, I have a sword for you guys...

Thanks,

As much as I hate to disappoint, after thinking it over more, I don't know if I am in the best position to handle the large group and its knowledge in my current state. I have long been a person who is quick to assist on an endeavor and can do what I do quite well, but I have not had enough experience dealing with overall organization to have me being the leader and gatherer of all the information be a particularly sound idea. If anyone needs me to do my thing (some fighting, some casting, smaller ritual castings, assisting in bigger castings, attempting bizarre feats of magic, magical monologuing, etc.), I'll do what I can for you, but I just don't think it's the best time for me to step up and lead.

Jehan,

I agree with you that we shouldn't be treated like pawns on a board, and it is not commanders who win battles but the soldiers on the field. It is their passion and quick thinking that wins battles. I'm only concerned with minimizing conflict within our group. A good general will try to drive a wedge into a oncoming army even before battle is met. I believe from what I have heard that this Thonesh is no fool and would be foolish not to try to exploit this. If a head planner is chosen then we all need to agree to follow his/her lead and not stray on our own paths. Now a good leader also listens to the advice of those under him/her as well. We need to be singly focused on the goal and lay our differences aside if we wish to accomplish our mission. I know we all walk different paths in life, and that is what makes life worth the adventure. I just want people to understand when we reach the island we will be stuck between a rock and a hard place. There will be no room or time for petty squabbles. Like my old commander used to say, “Lads, keep your heads down, shoulders back, and clench up because you’re about to run up a mountain through an avalanche. “
All that said. Yeah me and boys will be there, we’re even thinking of showing up sober….or sober-ish. And we love new sharp pointy thing.
