Greetings all,

I have a question about killing blows with out a weapon. In the ARB pg95 it states a killing blow can be made without a weapon simply by placing a hand on the torso of the intended victim and making the normal count. All other rules for killing blows still apply.

However, at fighter practice on 4/5 I was told by several players, all of which have more experience than I do, that a weapon was needed. I cannot find any other reference that indicates this.

Can some one please clarify the Killing blow without a weapon rule as it is played here in Denver?

Thank you

Cool question! Thanks for pursuing it!

(meaning, of course, I have no idea what the answer is)

Correct, you do not need a weapon. It's a misconception many had. So unless David or Jesse is requiring it, all you need is a hand (think of it like breaking their neck).

The ARB is canonical and correct. You do not need a weapon.

Question answered, so in the tradition of other rules threads, locking thread.
