What props and things are needed for a magpie-kin? I was thinking about making a shawl to represent the wings, but otherwise I don't know what I would do to represent it. Any advice would be fantastic, thank you.

But really it's up to you. The design gives a lot of leeway as long as its somewhere between a human and the animal.
As a Kyn you don't need wings, but only if you want them. I do like a Shawl idea.
