The Catskills campaign (first event coming in 2010!) is working on a fundraiser to help get started at a financially stable place, and we need your help!
The fundraiser: we are creating a High Fantasy Pin-Up Calendar called “The Real Girls of Gaming” that we’ll be selling nationwide. The idea is to take tasteful photos of some of the lovely LARPers that play our game – we have our photo shoot arranged in the next few weeks and will have the calendar itself together around mid-September.
In order to make the calendar successful and help with the costs of production, we’re selling advertising space in the calendar. We have a large list of vendors that we’re going to reach out to nationwide, but also wanted to open the opportunity for referrals from Alliance LARPers that would like to see their favorite vendor advertise in the calendar. It’s a cool way to earn gobbies in a new chapter without spending a good deal of money, and also just to help out a new campaign!
The basic idea: if you refer a vendor that chooses to advertise in the calendar, (or ARE a vendor that would like to advertise!), you will receive a Goblin Stamp reward equivalent to a needed straight monetary donation for the amount of adspace purchased. That’s double the usual amount of Goblin Stamps for a donation! Put another way: for every dollar that advertiser spends, you’ll get four Goblin Stamps.
The rules:
1. Every vendor needs to sell something related to gaming and/or LARPing in some fashion. While we all love Tupperware, it’s not really relevant to the people the calendar is going to be sold to.
2. You must speak to the vendor before sending the referral. That way they know to expect us to contact them, and it’s not the same as us just calling strangers, hence the point of using referrals.
3. In order to submit a referral, please email cvelderman @ gmail.com with the following information:
a. Vendor Company
b. Vendor Name
c. Contact Email
d. Contact Phone Number
e. Your full name, email, phone and address (to put in our database with Goblin Stamps if they end up purchasing)
f. How you know the vendor (previous customer, friend, relative, etc.)
