Hey everyone this question has come up before, so here is some clarification... What is RSVP, Pre-Reg, Downtimes, why do I need to do them separately, and what is the point?

RSVP, is a quick email sent to the plot team that tells us roughly when you expect to arrive, and leave. What things you would like to do, personal, or group, and who is in that group. This is separate from downtime as downtimes are what your character is doing in between games. The RSVP is a much more concise, and clear way to communicate to us ahead of time what things you are wanting to tackle. RSVP's help us with planning immensely.

This may not sound super important, but if you have to leave say Saturday night because of default world commitments, and we don't know that, then a scene that we set up to run at a time... may coincide with a time that you are not on the hill... uh...oh...

Telling us goals that you, and x,y,z,w are going to try, and do helps us stat, and plan the encounter ahead of time saving everyone hassle, time, strain, etc. Also, it gives us more time to plan for cooler immersion!

Downtimes

Actions that your character(s) take inbetween games. These are meant to supplement your game experience not replace it, provide hooks, information, and provide resources (information, contacts, leads, project completion) that are otherwise not feasible to handle within the scope of an event (building farms, roads, training troops, thoroughly exploring forest/cave/etc). Please CC other players whose characters are involved, this acts as a consent, and provides a way for another player to say yes, or no they are, or not going to help you.

And makes it much easier for us the plot team to communicate the results to all of you.

Please restrain yourself to 3 major actions, Exploring X, Building Y, Researching Z. Spreading yourself out reduces efficacy, Focusing your efforts increases efficacy, listing potentially relevant skills, experiences, will help you. Including other Cast Characters, and Player Characters also may or may not help you based on their skillsets, and their attitude towards your character.

Please restrain yourself to 3 minor actions, Checking in with X, Having a conversation with Y, Relaying information to Z, Patrolling W. Same as above, focusing actions will yield more results, listing relevant skills, tags, etc, etc, same as above.

Extra actions will be disregarded/ignored, and the actions will be accepted, answered in the order that they are written. Some actions may result in receiving information that will be guised as actionable intelligence, often time this is told ingame, so if you receive a response that says something to the effect of This cave has interesting sounds, that is likely a clue to further investigation, or an encounter. If the pursuit of an action would directly result in a mod, then you will be informed ingame/out of game. Some responses contain clues, and information that may necessitate further investigation ingame, future downtimes, or both, and may also have clues that could be brought to cast characters, and other players alike. Some downtime responses may seem vague, this is ingame information for you to ignore, act upon, investigate further, or act on. Certain actions such as in-depth conversations will need to be facilitated at a Tavern Night, or privately with plot members as doing them in such a cold method is not as rewarding for you the player, or the plot team.

Pre-Reg

This makes your logistics team infinitely less hostile towards your existence. This speeds up the process to get in game, and helps the owner, and management team with planning for site fees, props, makeup, and all manner of off camera experiences. Please, please, please do this. Without adequate pre-reg numbers events can run into complications as they have in the past. Ultimately by pre-regging you are helping your staff, your plot team, and your fellow players to have a better more rewarding, and stress free experience. Be metal and pre reg, not Manilow, and fail to do so.
