Official Safety Marshal post:
  1. The campsite for our April 13-15, 2018 Season Opener has a NO NUTS policy! No nuts, no nut butters*, not anywhere, not no how. No nuts!
  2. No smoking allowed onsite anywhere, including vaping. Please drive to the edge of site to smoke. This includes inside your own car, indoors, outdoors, everywhere onsite.
  3. Use of alcohol and any drugs during an Alliance event is never allowed; this super duper includes pot. Sorry, Coloradans!
  4. Weapons Check: Every boffer physrep has to be checked for safety every event, even if it's already been checked before. Weapons Marshals for this event are: Jim Galford (Lagarde) in the Bayenna cabin in Greenwood before game; Zach Brooks (Sir Ri) in the Tiatar cabin in Greenwood; Will Haddon (Parzivel) in Logistics; and me - Trace Moriarty - in Monster Camp before game.
  5. Here's a reminder of Denver's style for some safety issues, please review: https://alliancelarp.com/forum/threads/safety-reminders-for-denver-style.35199/
  6. New moon this event! Super dark. Please be careful at night.
Nuff said!

* The original version of this post said "butter putters" instead of "nut butters." No one knows what that may have meant.

FYI, as of Wednesday before the event, Teller County says that fires in established firepits (Tent Camp) are okay.

Please keep eyes out for fireban signs as you drive up to the camp for any changes, however.

Thanks,
Captain Safety

Any chance one of the weapons marshals could be posted at logistics? Seems like that is where they are needed the most both for new players and for old ones with new weapons.

We can try, but since the marshals are either plot or players who're doing the mad scramble to get ready, we can't necessarily commit to that. Busy busy busy before game.

Will, since you asked, I'm now dubbing you a Weapons Marshal and ordering you to cover Logistics. Hope that's fine. Kthxbye.

(Will, one of our most experienced and expert weapons makers, actually saw this need and stepped up this afternoon to volunteer. He's now an official Weapons Marshal for our game. Thank you, Will Haddon!)
