This rolls back into the dwarf-beard and hobling-sideburn issue. If pointed ears aren't indicative of an elf, why should beards be indicative of dwarves?

Some races have a combination of phys-reps. Tusks are indicative of both High Ogres and High Orcs. Skin tone is the deciding factor of race in that case.

If someone blatantly has cat make-up (with or without a prosthetic), then they are a Sarr. Adding to the make-up requirement adds to atmosphere. Dwarfs without added beards look like humans. Sarr with added ears still look like Sarr.
