It's been a long.... cold.... winter.
The people of East Lands gather around the fire and give thanks that the winter bears so little resemblance to last year's blight on the land. Taverns fill will hopeful people who gather together to give each other comfort in fears that the terrible cold would find them again.
Though the conditions are not so terrible the land is silent, as if waiting for a blow to come.
It's fears do not disappoint.
From the south comes word out of Valbridge of invasion. Barones Calvsdottir calls for aid from Kiroshi near its own boarders! Out of nowhere, and buried in the old battlefields of the Orc wars stands a lone tower. Odd mist surrounds it and a sort of pressure fills the air around it. A massing army, seemingly coming from the tower itself, of kobalds, golems, and more fill it's large and walled off courtyard. Hails from scouts have been returned with arrows.
Baron Minmatsu has pledged support and his troops are already on the move. Standards of a red battle worn shield over a blue field move to stand with the white crane, and blue of the Silverstar Legion. Duke Lysergis, now within the walls of the capitol city maintains the guard lest these teleporting towers filled with armies strike when they are vulnerable. Dragonreach citizens flee to its walls.
Baron Minmatsu seeks the aid of the adventurers. A meeting is to commence on the first night of the next gathering in Valburrough. With the spring thaw comes the next challenge to our lives.
We now rise to face it.
