Self-Inflicted damage with untrained weapon

I came across a situation that I’m not really sure how it would be handled. Let’s say:

I’m a Dryad
I have Arcane Armor on
I can only use: Staff (flaw: can’t be used to harm a Dryad)
I have PA4
I have 2 Body left

If I want my PA4 to be active, I need to make sure the AA is used up. However, if I can’t use the staff to knock down my own armor can I use a weapon I’m not trained in to do so?

In short, if I can’t use Edge weapons as a Dryad, and I don’t have proficiency in any other weapon, am I allowed to inflect damage on myself with another weapon? Am I so bad as using an untrained weapon that I can’t even injure myself?

A couple of points.

1) No you may not use a weapon you do not have a skill with for anything except cutting someone out of an Entangle or delivering a Killing Blow.

2) The Protection Aura ritual falls outside of your armor, that is if you have a PA 4 you will not take any armor damage unless someone is swinging for 5 or more points of damage.

To follow up and support Sean's second point, the wording on the Protection Aura scrolls is:

Unlike the threshold monster ability, Protection Aura falls outside all armor and protectives except Magic Armor.

Think of it not as "I'm so bad I can't hurt myself", think of it as "I'm so bad that any attempt to hurt myself ends in my death.".
