SOPA and PIPA

In case you all are not aware, there are two bills before the Senate that will be voted on starting Jan. 24th. These bills are the Stop Online Piracy Act and the Protection of Intellectual Property Act.

Reading into the bills it seems they will give authority to a department to be able to shut down a website at it's IP source if there is any possibility of Copyright infringement and imprisonment. This includes even recording a video of yourself singing a popular song and posting it.

Several websites today are going on strike in opposition to these bills. Learn more here:

Keep in mind that this site is a possible offender and at risk of being taken down, as throughout our forum there links to youtube, facebook, and other sites that contain parts of copy-written works.
