Tavern

I don't even have a clue...and My character works there...thats sad.

Mine has worked there for almost a year and still doesn't know the name. That's *really* sad. The saddest part is that it's probably written on a sign on the front, but no one's ever bothered to asked plot about it.

HEy plot make us a sign!!!!! *with big droopy eyes* Please???

actually, I was thinking of doing making a sign for it, but first I should probably know the name of the tavern

I was actually thinking of both of us making it I think it would be cool!

I just figured it was called "Lorenzo's" or just "The Tavern." Something to that extent.

Though I would like to submit the following suggestions for the Tavern's name:

The Broken Anvil
The Vomiting Horse
The Plaid Dragon
The Laughing Moose
The Happy Dog
The Broken Merchant
The Chaos Cow
The Spiderless Tavern (est. 1002)
The Dribbling Kobold
The Frolicking Gnoll
The Cursing Gypsy
The Howling Dwarf
The Human (Humans dont do anything except exist)
The Galloping Slug
The Melancholy Fae
The Lost Caravan
The Clucking Biata (gives a glance to Sarah)
The Mewing Sarr
The Civilized Barbarian
The Sneezing Cat
The Epicenter of Wierd
The Leaky Cup
The Looting Vulture

Crazy L's Drinkatorium and Loungery
Lorenzo's Quaffery Place for the Social Inclined
Cheers (or for the ones who dont want to be sued, Toasts)
Lorenzo's Restitution for the Adventuring Chap and Lady
Sir Lorenzo's Institution of Spirits and Socialry

And finally a batch of serious names:

The Sword and Shield
The Crescent Moon (very patriotic)
The War Room
The Way Point
The Battle Scar
The Crossroads
The Done Deal
The Trade Route
The Drinking Den

Yet one more suggestion...

That's a pretty impressive list there, Lancaster.

Reminds me of a time playing D&D. We came across a bar called the Prancing Warrior. (Obvious spoof of Lord of the Rings.) There was just something odd about the atmosphere, even though the men there were very friendly, and even willing to buy our party drinks. Well, primarily the men in the party. A good number of them had moustaches. We danced a lot with them. Still, there was something not quite right...

Anyway, I think that is a great name for a bar.

I personally like:

The Sword and Shield
The Way Point
The Done Deal
The Crossroads
The Spiderless Tavern (est. 1002)
The Melancholy Fae
The Leaky Cup
The Epicenter of Weird

Particularly the last one.

The shield I commonly place in front of the tavern is -

Argent, a chevron wavy between 3 mullets of 8 points and a Raven volant sable.

For those of you less heraldicly inclined? On a silver (white) field, a black wavy chevron between three 8 pointed stars (black) and a flying raven (black, of course)

I dont know, I was pretty fond of the Galluping Slug. For some reason, unknown to me, I feel that it fits almost perfectly with the event atmosphere within and around the tavern

And if that doesn't help so much, talk to Keith... He's playing with some heraldry stuff right now and might be able to help you out... *looks innocent*

Actually, I've got a basic program I downloaded for heraldry stuff. You need to know the specifics (cplor names, heraldry rules, charges and such) to create new ones and to save the ones you create, the program is $45 to register (which I'm thinking about doing) but I've got an idea for a Healer's Guild Coat of Arms....

per bend purpure and sable, a griffin segreant argent

Look it up and see what you think. :)

I'm trying to picture this, Dave....

I've got the white field...the chevron wavy is throwing me a bit as are the position of the mullets. And is the Raven charge at the foreground over the chevron?

Dammit Dave! I don't care if it is a raven, I'll kill anything that comes into the tavern with a mullet.

~Matt, ORV, not redneck enough to even imagine something with 3 mullets. :D

The "between" puts the chevron between the Mullets and Raven. The mullets are per chevron in chief (across the top in an upside down v formation) and the Raven is below the chevron. A Chevron wavy is just that. A chevron where the lines are wavy instead of straight.

I have a bit of interest in heraldry... would it be appropriate to say that those are per pale? As in "Argent, per pale a chevron wavy between 3 mullets of 8 points per chevron and a Raven volant sable"? Or does that only apply to identical items?

I guess it's a good thing that Bryan cut his hair a logn time ago, cuz you would of iced Rapheal the minute he walked into the tavern.

Ryan, this list is great! My favorites were:
The Plaid Dragon
The Lost Caravan
The Leaky Cup
Crazy L's Drinkatorium and Loungery
The Crescent Moon (very patriotic)

Some ideas that I've been chewing on are:
--Inn (written under picture of cresent moon)
--The Stag Hede Inn
--The Brown Dog
--the White Bunny

Unless there actually is a name that we don’t know abut yet, maybe we could all brainstorm ideas and vote on one. This is fun!
