The Red Wizard's Ritual Services

Greetings Fortannis!

Allow me to introduce myself for those that have not met me. I am Alavatar Peece, The Red Wizard, Guild Master of the Brotherhood of the Star, and Master Celestial Formalist. I have been adventuring for 13 years. I started in Rhythia, where I was known as the Red Archer due to my penchant for red clothing and my proficiency with a bow. In Rhythia I met and Apprenticed to Polare from whom I learned the basics of adventuring and Celestial Magic. I followed my Master to the land of Crochevia, which then became Andar after a cataclysmic event. While in Andar, and still Apprenticed to Polare, I joined the Celestial Guild known as the Brotherhood of the Star where I learned more varied methods of Celestial use. Also in Andar I met a human named Derek Ironhammer who, through observation and discussion, indirectly taught me the power of Celestial Formal; it was he who inspired me to master the arts of Celestial Formal Magic. Throughout this time, Master Polare taught me advanced Celestial Magic combat techniques, the basics of Leadership, and the importance of having the right tool for the right problems. My apprenticeship concluded with written and physical testing, resulting in the bestowal of my title: The Red Wizard.

Shortly after my graduation from Polare's apprenticeship I procured the Brotherhood of the Star from the Guild Master at the time: Shikar al'Basteua. As Guild Master, I initially ran the Brotherhood of the Star as a Merchant's guild as that was it's registration and charter. After several years of unsuccessfully getting community involvement and/or acceptance in that method (what involvement and acceptance I did get was generally on a personal level rather than an organizational level), I reorganized and rechartered the Brotherhood of the Star, with the help of the members at the time, to be an organization that is dedicated to knowledge and education, completely removing the mercantile aspects from the organization. This also happened to coincide with the adventuring community traveling to a new area (Tarndale) on behalf of Andar. Now, due to the successful reorganization and the hard work of the members, the Brotherhood of the Star claims membership of most of the scholarly and intellectual members of the Tarndale community as well as securing the Brotherhood of the Star as the primary organization for knowledge and information which has significantly reduced the amount of misinformation previously common among adventurers.

Other lands I have traveled to and assisted include Taneryn, the Golden Horn, Horn's End in Valdanis, and Vandalar 2.5 years ago to go into the Hourglass.

Since my graduation from apprenticeship I have been studying Celestial Ritual Magic with fervor. Next year I expect to have nearly perfected my Celestial Formal casting techniques. Expected results include, but are not limited to:
  • I shall be capable of Ritually Manipulating a 5 day Empowerment on ANY Celestial or General ritual, including Permanent Duration or Summoning an Elemental Overlord
  • The ability to cast ANY Celestial or General ritual of finite power with 99% or more probability of success, including Permanent Duration or Summoning an Elemental Overlord
  • The ability to cast Celestial or General rituals of infinite power, such as Spell Store, well beyond the capability of any other adventurer
    • Capability of casting a Spell Store 21 with 90% Success Chance
    • The ability to cast a Planar Asylum on 70 targets or more
    • Capable of sending a 100 word essay via Whispering Wind
    • Imbuing a Vengeance ritual, as a single caster, to provide retributive strikes equal to or greater than the combined force of 17 Dragon's Breaths

I introduce myself and advertise my skill because I wish to offer my services to Fortannis next year, year 614. This also gives me the opportunity to see more lands, meet new people, and learn new information. I will be able to make time and arrangements to travel to 2 or 3 locations that year. My fees, if any, will be based on the economy of the land being traveled to. I expect to have 1 to 3 travel companions accompanying me, including possibly, Lord Polare, Sir Avaran, or others. My travel companions and I will require assistance in finding food and lodging while staying in whatever lands we travel to.

I provide this information well in advance so that the folks of Fortannis can think about their needs and plan accordingly should any believe they might want to procure my talent next year. Should you wish to get in touch with me please either enter this dream or send a letter to my residence in Tarndale.

Thank you for your time.

Regards,
Alavatar Peece, the Red Wizard
Guild Master of the Brotherhood of the Star

Good folk of Fortannis,

I am willing to personally vouch for the efficacy of Guildmaster Alavatar's services. He recently helped me to create my wand Litany, a project of extreme difficulty which he coolly completed with no issues whatsoever. Even when we were assaulted by an enemy Spirit Walking into the casting circle during the batch of rituals, Alavatar kept his calm and continued the ritual batch to result in a formidable weapon to assist against our foes.

There is no ritual I have encountered in more than a decade and a half of adventuring which Alavatar is unable to master. If you have any plans to create an item of surpassing potency, or simply wish to ensure the greatest possiblity of success and efficiency for your everyday ritual castings, I would strongly recommend that you consider contacting the Red Wizard for your needs.

Adventurers of the lands of Icenia, Moria, Caldaria, the Deadlands:

I have assisted in ritual casting with Alavatar, and can vouch for his skill as a ritualist. He is, in terms of ability, nearly Figment and I put together, or two Ciarrahs (if she were celestially inclined.) While traveling in those lands, I cannot think of anyone who matched or exceeded his skill.

If you are looking for an introduction or outside opinion from someone you have known or traveled with, I will gladly answer any messengers.

How much would it cost to ritually summon a batch of cookies? Figment has been letting me down lately.

May your days be filled with shadows,
~Morai

I guess it depends on the ritual. A True Empowered Conjure Artifact ritual may result in some Ambrosia in the form of cookies, but unless you know the True Name of the artifact you wish to summon the ritual generally results in a random artifact so you may or may not get what you want. Or, if there is a Plane of Cookies or Plane of Delicious Confections I could open a Planar Gate that would last for nearly 12 hours, hopefully with a catalyst so the gate is Keyed and therefore not let random creatures through. I suppose if there is a Plane of Cookies/Delicious Confections one could also utilize a Summon Extra Planar Creature ritual to summon a Cookie Monster or similar creature if that is truly what you want, although I don't advise it.

That does remind me of the time Andar was beset by a mad genius who created candy golems that exploded in delicious sugary consumables when destroyed. It was not as pleasant as it sounds so I do not recommend it. Getting beaten to death by a candy cane is extremely humbling.

Back to the subject at hand, the cost of casting those rituals is highly dependent on the difficulty of the ritual itself and requested Ritual Manipulations. It could range anywhere from 5 gold to 50 gold or more, or equivalent items such as potions, scrolls, alchemy, reagents, and magic items that travel the mists.

The best way to determine how much I would start my negotiated price is to send me a list of what rituals you would like cast and the ritual manipulations you would like. We can then negotiate from there.

I think it may be cheaper to pay for a personal baker or pastry chef, though.

Regards,
Alavatar Peece

P.S. Thank you, Phedre and Lord Polare, for your endorsement.

Greetings people of Fortannis,
I am Councilman Alcandar Northwind, Earth Guild Master of Landfall, Golden Horn. I also wish to offer my endorsement of Master Alavatar. He has created a number of powerful artifacts for my organization, the Legion of the Sun; including items that had over 15 rituals upon them. The items were created with total success, due to Master Alavatar's prowess in the ways of magic. Whatever he may charge, it is worth it. Having a wizard of his ability in your lands is also an added bonus, if your cause is worthy.

If you wish for further endorsement, you may contact me directly.

-Councilman Alcandar Northwind
