To all the Order of the Earthen Fist and to its allies.

Kevar

Elite
Marshal
To all those of the Order that stand vigilant and its many allies,

I, Kevar Byrne, was entrusted to keep our operations stable as Lurin and Runir were off on an unexpected hiatus. I now come to you with knowledge of their whereabouts. They came to the town of Wayside on Hollow’s Eve, and were no longer as they once were. Lurin and Runir have been transformed into the very monstrosities that they sought to destroy. I am horrified to inform you that Lurin and Runir have become vampires, masters of the undead that seek to destroy all that is right and good in these lands. I have seen them with my own eyes, and was forced into their servitude temporarily by their vile gaze.

I hereby declare to all the Order and those that will lend ear. Lurin and Runir are no longer members of the Order of the Earthen Fist, as they have desecrated the very foundation upon which the Order resides on. From here on let it be known that Lurin and Runir are vampires, and to be destroyed on site. If you are unable to see to their destruction or need assistance please contact the Order of the Earthen Fist immediately. Any and all further contracts or orders given by Lurin or Runir in the name of the Order are hereby deemed invalid, as they are no longer among our ranks. All current personal contacts or contracts of theirs that wish to be transitioned to the Order please contact me as soon as possible.

The Order of the Earthen Fist stands strong. We will not falter in our duties, if there are any needs or questions please contact me by currier or pigeon.

May you find warmth from Winter’s sweet embrace,
Kevar Byrne, Last Standard Bearer of the Order of the Earthen Fist.

Guildmaster Byrne - I laud your strength and will assist you in rescuing Lurin and Runir from the servitude into which they have been yoked. But, I implore you, see this as a redemptive endeavour and not an execution or a lynching. Lurin and Runir are not in their right minds; just as you felt the steely grip of a vampire's gaze and felt your body and heart act against your Spirit's wishes, they too are controlled by another's influence. They do not act in a criminal fashion because they wish to, but because they are being forced to.

Truly, wouldn't it be better to capture and incarcerate these two until the undead hand which controls them can be removed or its influence shaken, then they can return to fight against that very puppet-master? I suggest the brothers you knew and loved are still very much alive and struggling to escape, to condemn those brothers to annihilation simply because they are currently being manipulated by forces beyond imagining seems preemptive and caustic. Certainly, their illegal activies must be arrested, but shouldn't we pursue their redemption instead of their death?

Who are you Kevar, to exhault yourself in my absence, by what deeds do you exhault yourself to taking over the leadership of order? Do you think that you can simply assume that mantle of responsiblity by default. No Kevar, the order is still mine, and it will continue to do what it has Kevar always done, protect the innocent victims of Wayside from those that would do them harm. How many lives have been needlessly lost due to the 'adventurers' in you town. I will excise the true cancer of Wayside, be it by magicks or claw. I will expunge all those adventurers who do not join me in my efforts to remove the taint of the fae that exists in these lands. How many have died from the disasters they have wrought, a single harsh winter will claim more lives then any undead will in its existence. You see my visit as an attack Kevar, but in reality It was the first step in releasing you from the servitude of the elemental brothers, no longer will Thorne's bone infect your mind and cloud your judgement to his must ends.

Kevar you still serve my cause if not myself, focus on the true threats to Wayside and do not meddle with my and Runir's work, you still have far to come to understand what release is actually going on around you.

Dramthin my old friend, you have a knack for seeing to the core of matters and I trust you won't allow a prejudice of my current form prevent you from doing what is right.

-Lurin

Tuhan - I see through to the truth in many matters and I still believe your Spirit is pure, even if your Body and Will are being subjugated. I hear all that you say regarding the greater mission of protecting innocents and removing the darkness of oppression. Once you are free of this Curse, I would help you in all ways fulfill the mission outlayed by The Earthen Fist: to save those who struggle against overwhelming forces but cannot save themselves, and to purfiy the body politic. Please, Tuhan, do not give up hope; it's not too late, there are those who see, understand, and still fight.

Master Lurin,

Dramthin is wise in his years, yet still finds himself assuming things. He speaks wrongly when he calls me a GuildMaster. It is not my right to take on such a mantle, but it is my right to preserve the Order that you have created until a leader may be found to carry its directives with the resolve that you have. I am merely a Standard Bearer, a steward if you will. When the day comes that here a leader emerges then I will gladly serve the Order once more as a humble member, however the many peoples that call this Order home have turned to me for the time being. Though I wish not for this to be permanent I will indeed preserve the Order for the time being. I am not a GuildMaster, merely a humble steward until times warrant my position to be different. I serve the Order now as I always have, by making sure that there is a Order of you, Lurin, to lead when you find yourself clean of this vile taint!

May you find warmth from Winter's sweet embrace,
Kevar Byrne, Last Standard Bearer to the Order of the Earthen Fist.

Hartsboon,

It would seem that you possess a mind far above that you have been credited for, if it only be my own credit. The task at hand must be simple for one such as you no doubt? Know this however, you are far too late in the hour of your recognition. All too soon there will only be one path to walk, and soon is the hour of the malfeasance.
