Many greetings. I have been traveling for some time and desire to visit your lands. I have some healing skills to offer, as well as items for trade. My wares consist mainly of jewelry; I have many unique pieces collected from several continents. I wish this to be both a business and learning opportunity. I am hoping to find other jewelers or craftsman with which to discuss the trade. In addition, I would very much like to visit your Healer?s Guild, as I am looking for spells and potions as well. If I may also inquire, where might I find lodging in your town? Perhaps at the tavern?

Best Regards,

V. Koree

I believe Lorenzo often does have rooms available, but for a price. If you seek more modest accommodations I believe the Earth Guild often has beds available; you should speak with the guildmistress for more information. I may also have some space available, provided you or any travelling companions you may have are not allergic to Celestial magic.

You may be out of luck as far as talking with other craftsmen. Just a little more then a week ago we evacuated much of the town. You might want to consider leaving your wears behind, because if we have evacuate those who are left behind, space will be limited. These lands are interesting indeed, but recently just as deadly. Bring warriors, and do not sleep alone. There is little that casters can do to combat many of the new threats.

I am not completely sure of the price for a room at the moment. But I can find out for sure. Usually the rooms at the tavern are 1-3 silver a night. I will look into it.

Perhaps Gypsy casters...

Both the humans of the town and the members of the Magistratium have found spells, especially celestial spells, to be effective against hags and most constructs. Spells are the single most efficent way to destroy the crimson fog that spreads across the land. None of the Scavengers of my estate who cast have complained either. I have also been informed that both the Night Hag and the Blindman were stopped by casters.

Also, not all craftsmen left. Remember those evacuated were the infirm, elderly, children, and those who felt they could not defend the land.

V. Koree, your assistance to our land in this dire time would be more than welcome. Yes, things are dangerous now, however should time provide during your visit I would be more than happy to discuss the fine craft of jewelry construction. My house is known for pearlwork across the Ducato. I look forward to meeting you.

Safe travels,

Mercanti Augusto Coralli

Don't listen to Corelli if you see the red mists, it takes three spells to affects them. You had best travel with competitent fighters who can deliver fast blows and move swiftly to avoid the creatures. They can also rift in great numbers and absorb your body once they are done with you. One of the Duchal officers was slain because he couldn't fend them off and he is a *highly* capable caster.

Corelli is right however in regards to the Night Hag and Blindman. They were taken down by casters. The Blindman was taken down by my family with the help of Shikar.

Corelli's house is often known for grievances against the Rom and for aiding the minions of the Strega. So for while he seems like a likeable fellow, he is far better tossed off the plank than kept on it.

Watch your back here, because no one else will. You can likely find some deals here on your wares, but make no mistake that people here are looking out for themselves.

As to the mists? It may take a few spells to get through the defenses, but then any binding magic will destroy them.

As to Augusto? He is a well respected merchant. In fact, he was recently elevated to nobility. Of course, Balryn has spoken out against the people and nobility of this town on several occasions here in the dreamscape. It seems he feels the town is out to get him and his family... frankly? I find his family to be quite pleasant.

Ah, now an open accusation of aiding the Strega? A very dangerous accusation to make of a noble Balryn. Perhaps you should take your evidence to the Lagraetman and the good Sindaco and they can sort this out.

Please forgive these little disagreements the Rom and the civilized people have from time to time. You have heard their accusations and in turn I should warn you that the Laetshi tribe are said to be vampires of some sort and the Daeyeva tribe murderers of innocents. I would take both sides with a grain of salt and make your decision in person as to who is truly evil and who is not.

I have been busy and have not been around so I don't know exactly what is going on, or what effects what. But my healing and protectives will be ready when the time comes to help. If somebody would be willing to speak with me privetly and fill me in, that would be much appreciated.

As for having fighters around, that is sound advice. I try to have somebody around me with decent fighting skills, seeing as how I don't know how to use a sword or any type of weapon for that matter. My only advice, know when to run, and keep your eyes sharp.

Now, everybody stay safe, plan well, and I will see you on the feild when the time is right.

Well fortunately here in the dreamscape the truth can be debated without the pretense of who is nobility eh? I hold more titles than you do my dear sir, but I don't presume to enforce my titles in an immaterial realm. I make no assertations here except for that your house has been corrupt ever since your brother died. You would have thought that his survivors would have had the wisdom to learn from his mistakes.

You listen to my dreams Coralli. If you want to hear my voice then you'll have to speak with me in person. Until then I'll sleep in this place and feel free to fathom on whatever ideas grace my dreaming. It's not dangerous to dream, in fact I was just somewhat entertained in a dream one of your farmers was having about burning you at the stake.

It is not my fault that I can freely speak my mind here. At least my emotions are not stifled as they are in the breathing realm.

As far as civilized- at least the Rom are not at war with most of the known realms. How exactly do I expect to accept this place as civilized? Even the nation of Rosalia has banded against the nobility of Dagliano... and they are for the most part full of pirates and undead.

I often find myself glad that I spend so little time here in Dagliano.

If you require training in the earthen arts, feel free to seek me out. The Earth Guild has many potions available for sale. I do recommend bringing as many awakens as you can on your own, however, as we utilized all of our stock to help defend the evacuation.

The Earth Guild itself often has 4 or 5 beds available for those who may need them at no cost other than helping keep the guild hall clean and aid in it's defense if necessary.

Please

Good People,

I am sorry my inquires sparked such a debate between you all. If you really face such dire threats, would it not be best to put aside your differences until the danger has been dealt with? I do not mean to sound so bold, but I?m sure your town needs you all to work together until your lands can be safe. Does it matter right now who says what or what ___ says ___ did?

I do hope I make it safely to your lands, as it will be a pleasure to meet all of you.

Don't concern yourself overmuch. I've seen more heated political and socioeconomical debates get sparked around here by a barwench asking who ordered which drink at what table. When the chips are down, these ragtag adventurers can get what needs doing done, even if it's not in the most cooperative or mutually appreciative way possible. I also highly recommend the accomodations at the earth guild, but only if you like to be REALLY toasty warm, the guildmistress tends to like a nice roaring fire in there. Plus, you can then seek out new friends and have time to get to know em a bit before you trust your sleeping back (and coinpurse) to them. Anyone travelling this way if you need an emergency weapon or lightweight set of armour and don't care about quality, I can help you out there with a loaner, otherwise seek out Kauss, our local dwarven smith. He has the finest blades at the best prices around. If you let me know what direction you're travelling from I can try to work patrol routes and times out so that we could escort you in from about a half day out of town. Otherwise good luck and watch out for ugly women (no really).

Perhaps your casters are incompetent. It has become plainly obvious that the number and strength of the creatures that attack any given location are based on the perceived power level contained within. On several occasions powerful minions of the strega have rifted into our camp in large number, recently no fewer then eight greater crimson mists, where as many groups who are less powerful received a incredibly less severe awakening. It makes sense tactically for the strega to attempt to destroy its most powerful enemies before coming fully unto this land. That leads me to believe that either A) Your house and it's casters are too weak to pose a significant threat, or B) Balryn's accusation is correct and any attacks that have come on your house have merely been for show.

One man's foolishness aside, for the defense of the town, I will tell you what I know of these creatures, that you may combat them better when you meet them.

The Crimson Fogs and Greater Crimson Fogs carry a touch which will taint your mind with hallucinations. They are quite strong, strong enough to breach even the mightiest suit of armor in 4 blows. Being mists, one might assume that Binding magic cannot affect them, but this is not so. It is my experience that something so weak as a Pin spell, or any other Binding, will destroy one outright. However, they are difficult to hit, and seem to be able to shift out of phase with this reality several times before a spell will take effect. Expect to throw three spells at each. The primary difference we've found between the normal Fogs and the Greater Fogs is the amount of punishment that each can take, and that the Greaters seem to be able to Rift.

There are four types of golems commonly being used by the strega. Iron Men, Diamond Golems, Scarecrows, and Homunculi. The Scarecrows are fearsome indeed; just by looking upon you they can send even the bravest into a panic. They are, however, particularly susceptible to flame. The Homunculi are creatures made up of parts of other beings. They have the unnatural ability to channel sleep magic, and a similar effect with their touch. The Iron Men are best taken with an Ice Storm and a few sturdy whacks of a sword. The Diamond Golems are difficult to hit if you are not strong enough, but they themselves are very strong. They reflect all magic other then Shatter and Destroy spells, but don't expect these to do much. I have personally thrown 5 consecutive Shatter spells into one, and it seemed not even to bother it.

Recently some Spiders have been added to the mix. Most are normal spiders, however some are phase spiders. Be wary of them. Their webs are magical in nature, and they can rift themselves into (and out of) tight places.

Lastly there are the Lesser and Greater Hags. The greater hags are a case-by-case basis; speak to someone privately about them when you arrive if you intend to be in any proximity to them. The lesser hags are a quick kill if you can get in a fast combo, preferably ending in "Lightning Storm."

If you were to fight only 2-4 of these things, a few times per day, then casters could be quite effective. However, they come in groups from 5-15, and they come frequently. Memorize Awakens and Pins, and as much healing as you can. Bring warrior backup. I am one of the most powerful Celestial battle wizards in this town, and whereas I cannot expect you to take my word over Augusto's, he is not a combatant, and by heading my words you will not come unprepared.
