Using Assassinate with an Active Slay.

Let's say hypothetically John is playing a scout with one Slay and one Assassinate. John decides that it would be a good idea to Slay a scary goblin right in front of him, so he calls "Prepare to die!" However, John notices another goblin has just turned its back to him and it looks like a good target for his Assassinate.

Can John Assassinate the goblin while his Slay is active, or must he expend the Slay before he can Assassinate?

Per the ARB-

Once declared, this skill must be called with
every swing (or thrown weapon/arrow/bolt, in-
cluding when wielding two weapons or swap-
ping out weapons) or it is considered expended.
Using other skills that do not involve swinging
your weapon (such as casting a spell) do not
interrupt this skill.

So if you call your Assassinate, your Slay is considered expended.
