V0.10 Proposal: Magic Item Terms and Definitions

As I was thinking about Formal Magic (as I do), it occurred to me that it is likely every magic item will need to be re-printed with 2.0.

And since there are already several terms changes going on to reduce confusion I thought it might be a good opportunity to propose changing Magic Item terms!

Example:

• Restricted -> Standard
• LCO -> <Chapter> Restricted
• Artifact -> Non-Standard

etc.

This was just a thought bubble I had as I was driving home. Got to go cook dinner, so I will polish this later depending on input.

This would be great. The current terms are kinda outdated and confusing to new people. Such as a "restricted item" can travel freely.

I believe that is on our plate to revise, yes. I also think (I would have to confirm) that there was a thought about "Staff" items as well. As in, those of us who only ever get MIs through LCO picks because we are FT NPC/PLOT/OWNERs etc.

I think LCO is fine, because it is a pretty common part of our dialect. But for sure 'Restricted' is a very poor word choice for a basic MI.

Yay! On your plate as in the owners have a proposal they are looking at? Or it has been assigned to someone to create? On the list of things to do, but not assigned?
