I'm not finding a definitive answer and would like some input from other marshals.

Is a staff, while the wielder has the High Magic Oak of the Arcane, a viable target for rituals that specifically target wands?

If so, is the ritual suppressed when the staff isn't in the hands of someone with Oak of the Arcane or does it "fall off" because the ritual is no longer on a legal target?

My personal take on it is yes and suppressed respectively, but I couldn't find a definitive answer on this board or the ARC board.

Just looked at the high magic section again and it allows the caster to channel the energy through a staff, not to treat a staff ads a wand. This leads me to change my mind and sadly say it's not a legal target.

The High Magic ability is on the caster, not the staff. It doesn't make the staff any more or less a staff, which isn't any more or less a wand before or after the HM ability is prepared...meaning it isn't a wand at all, and cannot be targeted.
