Hey all,

Alliance Traverse is trying to get our own PERMANENT site to play at so here is a special offer to everyone.

Every year we have a special in game dinner called "Dinner at Deafell's" the King of Valdanis. Awards and recognition is given, good food is had and then we have an auction, in and out of game, and play some games.

We are looking for items to auction off for the OOG part of the auction. We are offering 5:1 goblin ratio on the cost of the item, any shipping you pay and a bonus of 5:1 for the selling price in the auction. We made the auction in March (12th) so people could recover from the holidays and perhaps have some income tax money to spend. In the past we have had chain mail shirts sell for $150, games go for $30 (that were bought for $20 originally) (Board games, especially good ones are very popular). We have had some great costuming and leather work too. Any quality items that are made like leather bracers or chain mail armor will get a generous time bonus in goblins as well.

Goblin stamps in Traverse are EXTREMELY beneficial. If you look at last years schedule I think you will see that we have one of the busiest schedules in terms of weekend and day faires.

Here is the event listing for 2011

Day Faire March 12th (Sat) - Dinner
Day Faire March 26th (Sat)
Day Faire April 16th (Sat)
Day Faire April 30th (Sat)
Weekend May 20th-22nd
Weekend June 10th-12th
Day Faire July TBA (Sat) - Gaming for a Cure
Day Faire July TBA (Sun) - Lowbie Event
Day Faire July TBA (Sat)
Weekend August 19th-21st
Weekend September 23rd-25th
Weekend October 21st-23rd
Day Faire November 5th (Sat) - Dinner

Locations will be posted as soon as we are 100% locked in.

I will post some of the in-game items up for auction in a future post very soon. I will be the auctioneer and I am happy to proxy bid for people too if the need be there.

If you have any questions please feel free to post or give me a call at

I'll be happy to donate some Leather Armor I make. (warlordscrusade.com)

But with all do respect, and this is not an ATTACK on any 1 game or logistics. I'm just stating, if anyone does take offense to what I am saying, well then chances are I am referring to you....

What assurance do i get I will get to spend those goblin stamps and blanket the events hassle free?

In the past certain chapters have merely forgotten about donations or favors/gifts, whatever.. I have done for them. A few months go by and next thing you know the chapter switches its logistics team, or a error in the system happens now there is no record of me ever receiving goblin stamps. I can't explain the frustration of having to jump through hoops and send 5-6 emails just to get one event blanketed.

I vowed not to do any more donations for goblin stamps except for chapters i continuously play at. But from one gamer to another It's hard for me to turn away help if I have the ability to contribute.

Also does your chapter require a membership fee in order to blanket events?

TS

I can only answer you for our chapter, the logistics has been ran by the same person since at least 2003 (that is when I joined) We issue receipts for goblin stamps and keep an up to date database and can give you a goblin point total at any point. Yes you do have to have a membership to blanket events, membership is $20 a year or $10 for 3 months.

Our website is

if you want to read more of the FAQ there is also a cash donation option mentioned above that gets you a membership. I have played about 6 chapters, three regularly and I can say that Traverse Logistically has always had its ducks in a row.

Hope this helps, if you want to talk in person give me a call or look on the alliance traverse website to call Bev or Matt the owners for Alliance Traverse.

many blessings,
Daver

I have met in person and dealt with Bev for Traverse Logistics and I can honestly say she has her ducks in a row and is one of the people I have enjoyed working with Logistically during my years at HQ.

Please do check out the Out of Game Auction blog. We have many items gamers might be interested in as well as great costuming and other items that might complement your gaming needs and styles.

If you see something you would like to bid on, under each post is the word comment proceeded by a number that indicates all the comments on that particular post. Currently most posts have 0 comments =(. Here is what we would like to do. We do a yearly auction but it is normally only a one day event and many do not want to drive that far for one day of play, so if you would like to bid, you may do so. Anyone that comes to the auction will enjoy the benefit of having the last word/bid. If you would like to give me a high bid for you you may send a msg to davidrlrussell@gmail.com and I will bid for you. Feel free to leave instructions on what increment you wish to bid by. If you win the item, we will ship it so you, but you will have to pay the postage. I will notify you of the win and you may send us a check or paypal us

Happy bidding and if you have any questions, feel free to post them here, pm them or email me.

Ithaca, don't worry, they're good people. I've had gobbies with them for years, from a donation I made not long after Traverse first joined the Alliance. I totally forgot they were there until recently. Now those gobbies are just waiting for their chance to strike!

OOG: Alan Gibson

PS: And yes, you do need to be a member to spend gobbies there.
