Wanting to make a new character

I just played this last weekend for the first time, and I had a great time. My only problem was the amount of physical activity left me exausted, and it didn't really hit me until the end of the game on sunday.

What I'd like to do is take the new character I started with, hobling rogue, and make him into either a human scholar or an elf scholar. How does the process work? I've heard some mention of it, but do I keep all the current build/coins/items I found in the first game or do I start over with 15 build?
 
if it was your first time playing ever, you get a free spirit forge. that means you keep your coin, items, and the build you earned from that event, and you can reforge the character completely.
 
Also, I believe you have until you PC again to make this decision. So if you NPC your next event, you can still re-write your PC after that.
 
Most Chapters allow not only a Spirit Forge but a Re-Write. The character you just played will wander off into the shadows and your Brand New Hero will emerge with no connection between the two.

that's true.
 
That's what I'll be doing to create my Ogre after my first event which is going to be a Dark Elf event
