And a night elf.... but only for a few more days. I was lucky enough to get a free trial account and as cool as it is, it just doesn't fit into my budget.
A friend of mine from martial arts finally made me sit down and play it at his place. I made an orc warrior and got her up to ~level 5. I went into the imp cave and laughed at the weak excuse for a PC that died near the entrance. After 15 minutes, as I was trying to find my way back out, I got swarmed and soon was killed as well. But still, I was lost in the back; he was right in the friggin entrance! S'pose I still have some pointing and laughing rights. Ha ha!
I'm not addicted yet, but after a little more, I could be, and then bye bye grades. Diablo II was bad enough for me. Had a level 82 necromancer. Maxed out magic missile, raise dead, and summon mastery. Was working on maxing my fire elemental, who I named Burney. The necromancer defeated Nightmare Ancients single handedly once, not counting his undead helpers. Smacks Hell Duriel every single time without even breaking a sweat.
As you can see, I really got into it. That's why I stick to consol games now. They can actually be completed, and consequently put down. But if I ever do succumb and buy the game, I'll let you all know.

I'm gonna have to agree on this one.
I beta'd EQ 2, after being a hardcore EQ player.
Nothing would make EQ2 playable. Even if they packaged it with a peripheral that you shoved down the front of your pants, that vibrated every time the game sucked.
If they could update EQ to use the EQ2 graphics engine.....no, nevermind, WoW would still kick the crap out of it.

But the "hardcore" EQ2 players won't give WoW a chance because it "isnt" EQ2. Thus they'll never know the difference. I played it for about a week after launch on my ex-roomates account. Guess what... He wants to get WoW too. lol
