Meeker here I'v been playing wow since December 11th 2004, over this course of time I have been keeping a close eye on private servers. One fine afternoon I found myself reading over the licence agreement. After much studying I discovered that there is no "rule" that would bring the WOW CIA kicking down the front door. (Note: If a private server ever charged a monthly fee they would be looking at a $500,000 law suit.)
After looking up Top 100 World of warraft Private servers and testing the top 10 I'v made my choice servers!
Wowfusion: X50exp - X50loot - X50gold
This server rocks if you would like to play the game with some friends over a weekend. lv.1-70 in three days ROCKS! On the down side, it gets a little boaring once you've ran through several times. But, if you have alwase wanted to check out wow without having to pay for it, this will give you a very basic overview of the game.
BurningWow: X15exp - X5loot - X20gold (or somthen like that)
This server is awsome, if you like playing wow and wana do it for free, this is your server. GMs host fun tournaments and give away prizes from the trading card game (I ride a Swift Spectril Tiger ^_^ )You level up alot faster but it is still time consuming, instance bosses drop alot of gear and the server mood is plesent.

Playing on a private server is illegal and will get you in trouble - LIE!
You bought the game so you have all rites to play wow, the monthly fee is a Server Matinence Fee, for storeing your information. Also the one who run private servers have rites to their game.
Getting Connected is a hard, drawn out prosses - LIE!
It literaly takes 10min to register an account, change realm lists and loggin
Playing on a private server is free - TRUTH!
In face, barrow a friend's coppy of the game! (I dont encurage this for legal reasons ^_^ )
Private servers are "empty", no fun for PVP - ABSOLUTE FABRICATION OF THE TRUTH!!!!!!
Thousands of players play on private servers and some are pure PVP baced, with capturable towns and gaining exp through pvp!
