    Persistent Damage Cost Change

I would be interested in seeing what math you are using on this. It seems to me that the number of wand charges will be about the same, and the damage will drop by a bit more than half. In 1.3 a fighter with 300 build in proffs gets 20 proffs, so with a +3 DA is swinging 25s. In 2.0 a fighter...

    Persistent Damage Cost Change

I disagree that wands won't last all day. 100+ wand packets a day is fairly easy, and there are people in the game that could do more than 160. As someone who is a primary archer, I have used less arrows than that in a day. Not to mention that at only 375 build you can get a 15 column giving you...

    Persistent Damage Cost Change

That build still seems worse than just buying 2 more columns and increasing your wand damage by 1 (if you spend 50 build in the paragon path). To me it seems like a big problem that the celestial casters get something for free every time they spend build, but the melee classes get dimming...

    Persistent Damage Cost Change

I also agree that it seems like cross classes are better than pure fighters or rouges. However, I don't think that any of the templars can compare to a celestial caster and their wand. Why spend 70 build (on 3 weapon proffs and ohe ) plus the increased spell cost to swing for 5s with a sword...

    Shield Size Increase

I hear a lot of people saying that a larger shield would interfere with their ability to swing a weapon, but what about scholars?

Poll: What are your overall feelings about the proposed 2.0 rules compared to our current rules v.1.

Also simplify vertigo nausea etc And some kind of capstone or high magic ability for fighters/rouges.

Corrupt - Is this ready for use?

I like this, and so I want to ask, instead of the proposed rule, what if it worked like this. 1) Life kills undead. 2) If you rebirth/take a life as a Corrupt, you take the above, drop dead, and your death counter starts over. or 2b) If you take a life as a Corrupt you are alive at 1 body.

Corrupt - Is this ready for use?

In an effort to simplify things, I think this spell should functions similarly to some other effect like charm or enslavement. Making it something more like Death + Create Medium Undead + Charm. Then the only clarification needed would be the Undead part, not the following orders part.

Corrupt - Is this ready for use?

Per the ARB 2.0 v09.f "Enchant - When a reversible spell is activated out of an Enchant, either version may be activated no matter which version was put into the Enchant (e.g. a Life spell put into an Enchant may be activated as either a Life or Corrupt)." Do they have to explicitly have to...

Corrupt - Is this ready for use?

And is also really confusing. "..under absolute control of the caster. ..... The player (not the character) has the choice to use or not use per-day skills and spells while under the effect of Corrupt, and will use magic items based on the orders they are given." So I am under absolute...

Corrupt - Is this ready for use?

I am worried about the possibility of Corrupting (and to a lesser extent the new charm) people who are capable of casting corrupt and it leading to TPKs. I think that corrupt should be a large part of the next playtests and we should find out just how easy this is to do. To me it seems possible...

    Race Balance: Hoblings

8 profs is 204 build which let's you swing for 10s. As a Hobling fighter, I could see that and say 50 extra build in miscellaneous skills, then every level after 25 is another dodge, which seems pretty good.

Experiences of a Fighter in 2.0

This is something that I have been thinking about too. This seems like a reasonable way to go. No change for the places where takeout effects are rare, and something lesser than a dodge for the places where they are not. Without something like this, I am unsure what is the purpose of having 100+...

Experiences of a Fighter in 2.0

You are correct that I should be more clear. In Seattle/Oregon, it has been my experience that more than the average number of disables on an npc (in Seattle/Oregon) is somewhere around 5. My experience is that somewhere around 10-20% have none, 60% have 2-10, and 5-10% have 40+ (these usually...

Experiences of a Fighter in 2.0

What? Were are you playing that this is the case? I play a fighter in Seattle/Oregon, and of the times I have been dropped they were probably 90%+ the result of disabling spells/elemental/poisons. Heck, at Regionals I had one monster throw around 20 Magic Deaths at me.

    Spirit Forge

I also head that Blacksmiths need a better way to make money. I don't know how that would work thematically( Spirit Forges in the workshop ), but mechanically it seems like the place to put that. It could even be added as part of their Paragon Path.

Experiences of a Fighter in 2.0

I feel like this would just lead to more doubletapping of fighters, ie sleep, reduced, death/eviscerate/terminate since the death is completely unavoidable at that point. That is what happens to a lot of NPCs who can rip free from a Confine right now. Also, would this allow the reduction of...

Experiences of a Fighter in 2.0

What if we take some of this idea and build it into something like high magic for fighters (Different parries, but for each qualifier in the game. High cost Arcane parry would be cool.). For rogues (so they get something too), what if they got something like Parry/Dodge, but it was by effect...

Experiences of a Fighter in 2.0

Even just eliminating Monster Slayer, Damage Aura and Constructs, I think almost all of the 30s that aren't 2 handed weapons will go away for fighters. In the current system without magic items that is 27 proffs or 405 build. There are some people who are that high of level, but frankly, if you...
