    Repel

Repel is removed by Dispel; does it matter if the target of the Dispel is the caster or the victim? I assume not, but I’d like confirmation.

    Favorite Mods/Mechanics

I actually prefer “Block” defenses to smart defenses. They reward planning. For example, a monster with a bunch of Spell Blocks could have that whittled down by Signature spells or Storm spells, until the enemy is vulnerable to something more powerful. I like puzzle mods that have a combat...

Member of the community in need

Hey folks, Our former chairman has had some major life obstacles come up in her life, and recently had a serious medical situation come up. I’m hoping our community can share some love with her...

    Combat Enjoyment since 2.0

The ability to let other people share the burden and not take too much on yourself. It’s not just about avoiding burnout, but also about letting them get invested through their own efforts. The ability to keep your promises and have strong communication skills are needed for the people who are...

    Combat Enjoyment since 2.0

I’ve run a few during my guild times, in 1.3, and I’ve only done NPC work for one 2.0 event. In every single mod that was run successfully, the cards were less important than the players using them and the people running the mods. Mods (in my experience and with our style) are typically best...

    Combat Enjoyment since 2.0

I don’t think it’s much relevant which style they’re using. Monster cards aren’t that hard to make. They either have negation defenses or they don’t. They either have bloated body or they don’t. The issue is mindset. Not card style.

    Combat Enjoyment since 2.0

I don’t believe I expressed a difficulty in recruiting, only that it’s an additional complexity for new players compared to 1.3. It’s a complexity we overcome, certainly, but it absolutely costs more energy to do so. I’m not sure I ever expressed that the CMA is a bad thing, to be sure. Edit...

Zero burst damage. Pretty sure that was one of the points I made. :P

    Combat Enjoyment since 2.0

Dude, the only reason you get 20s from the back and feel burly is cuz you're playing a character that can afford 9 Backstabs or 8 Backstabs/2 Profs. Sure, that's constant static damage (when you're in position to benefit from it), but you have to dump a LOT of XP to get there. You're not playing...

    CMA Change Log

A PDF with screenshots would certainly be an improvement, absolutely. I like the idea of a "Here's how you build an example character" video, but I'll take any kind of resource with imagery. :) I would also prefer if it's not attached to the forums, specifically, though if it's on the Player...

    Combat Enjoyment since 2.0

I love this post. I think it identifies two of the problems that people primary experience with 2.0 (other than the increased starting complexity via the CMA). 1) People trying to play the 1.3 static damage style in 2.0 are going to have a bad time unless they're willing to track 10 minute...

Honestly, what we really need is a video tutorial for new people.

    CMA Change Log

An option to select multiple skills at once before applying the changes. Similar in concept to how spell slots can be purchased multiple at once. Alternatively, rather than having a skill-description page, being able to just select and apply skills on the first page (and minimize loading)...

    CMA Change Log

Is there any way for a multi-pick option to be enabled, even if only for Freeplay? Example: I want to buy four Parries + all the required XP for them, rather than one at a time? I’m sure that would be a big ask, but I’m curious.

It's such a great strategy, though. "Ooooh, the big bad guy is bleeding out and I have all this healing? This is gonna be hot." <pulls out Charm potion?

    Book tags

Looks like I was wrong, per https://alliancelarp.com/forum/threads/magic-spellbook-tags.41101/#post-316120 I guess if you have a spellbook with both C and E spells, any rituals you cast will affect all of them. That would also indicate if you’re disarmed of a book, you would drop every tag...

    Feb 2020 Infograph - Crafting

I'm surprised that Create Trap is that low, but the actual order of things doesn't surprise me in the least. #1 Alchemy is niche but killer when applicable, allowing people to build up usable stockpiles without being broke all the time. #2 Blacksmithing is needed for any chapter that uses tons...

    CMA Change Log

Any chance that a ritual charge entry could include the MI #, or even a short reference to the MI #? Mostly for purposes of tracking which weapons you've burned your Healing Blade from, or which spellbook you've used your Swap Spell on, etc.

    Resolved Magic Spellbook Tags

Do tags targeting a spellbook need to specify which spellbook tag is targeted, in case the phys rep is used for multiple books? Example: A Red Spellbook would be invalid, but “A Red Earth Spellbook” would be legit. Additionally, should MI numbers be on a spellbook tag as well as the spellbook...

    LCO Level Caps

These are all super great, but it sounds like no campaign/chapter is currently considering adding a hard cap to their games, except maybe BroS in a couple years.
