Would a weapon like this be allowed?

Dagorhir and Belegarth (sp?) do, however there are specific rules on the grappling aspect. Nothing like choke holds or anything just tackles and pins from what I have read from their rule book. You can aslo kick sheilds but nothing else further then that. B~>

    Armor

One more thing. What if the plates in between the chainmail were 16 ga. stainless. Whould that improve the value of the armor per location to a 3? B~>

    sewing patterns

Simplicity has some very good patterns available for a wide variety of medieval and renaissance costumes. Buttrick as well has a few that are quite nice. You can order them online or you can go into a fabric store and they should have a catalog you can pick from. Making your own patterns are...

    Armor

Well the adornments would act like studs on leather only they wouldn't be plain old boring studs of course. The leather I'm working with is 3/16" thick right now but the hardening process will most likely thicken it to 1/4" - 5/16". So my question would be how thick does it have to be as well...

    Armor

I was wondering if said attached picture had a relative armor value to it. I was thinking of doing up some armor and came across this online at the ring lord. The chain portion would be 16 ga. 1/2 inner dia. aluminum with a 6 in 1 pattern and the plates would be hardened (or cuir...

    Tonfas

I have seen Tonfas used in another game and it's real world use doesn't translate well into boffer combat. It's actual use can be used to trip legs, and trap weapons/limps. Which is why cops used to use them alot back in the day. In boffer combat at best it's good for blocking and even then...

    White Scarf

What if it was dark and the hood was a light yellow, light blue, or grey? In the dark you won't notice much of a difference in color and any "light color" could be confused for white. Seems to me that useing a white head covering rule is needless and could be substituted with say a reflective...

    White Scarf

The seatle event was fun but it was cold and I was thinking of having a white scarf that I could wrap around my head and neck to keep me warm. Would this be OK considering the white headband rule? B~>

    nebbie: NPC vs. PC

I PC'ed my first time and I didn't feel overwhelmed at all. Then I NPC'ed and I was using skills and rules that I wasn't aware of. I flubed alot of lines and I felt like I was over my head. As a new PC other players will take you under their wings and make sure you are not only protected from...

    Magnets along core?

Although it would be cheaper and easier to make a scabbard I think in the long run it would be easier and quicker to draw a weapon with magnets on it. It would just take a simple tug in any direction and it comes loose (problems with bush snags understandably inherent). Whereas with a scabbard...

    Magnets along core?

You could probubly put it in the crossguard or handle with no problems. But it could come ajar if you had to run or even brush up against a bush or something. Especially if it's a long sword. If the handle is long enough I would put like 2 or 3 seperate magnets along the handle for 3 points...
