Addressing the Five Champions

kalindra

Adept
To: Champions Winters, Tets, Hobling bard, Bearer of the Aegis of Ice, and Human mercenary:

You have shown your strength and wisdom; yet you still have much to learn,
For you failed to heed your Duty when it called you to return.
The one you seek is he who once escaped the battle's end,
Awaits the Lord he swore with dying breath he would defend;
Who spilled the blood of innocents; his kingdom's only heir;
The faithless love of Cerelinde, and source of her despair;
The wraith who haunts the space unfilled where mortals dare not stray;
The dext'rous Hand which bore the Sword and Shadowmage away.

--Authorized Proctor: Wizard

Addressing all potential champions: Message repeats.

You have shown your strength and wisdom; yet you still have much to learn,
For you failed to heed your Duty when it called you to return.
The one you seek is he who once escaped the battle's end,
Awaits the Lord he swore with dying breath he would defend;

The dext'rous Hand which bore the Sword and Shadowmage away.

YOU HAVE THIRTY-THREE DAYS. YOU WILL LOCATE THE INDICATED INDIVIDUAL AND BRING HIM TO ME FOR INTERROGATION.

Do not make me ask again.

You are contractually obligated to carry out this task. Do not delay.

Dear "Wizard".

Yelling at people and threatening them to do what you want usually does not work very well, based on what I have seen in the past.

Also, it'd probably be easier for them to find the person you're looking for if you just told them his name, instead of through confusing and wordy puzzles... That seems obnoxious and unnecessary. Although, so am I most times.

Just a thought.

Seriously! This is a serious matter and is important.

Especially you Draco! You need to pay attention!

--The General

General and Wizard,

Could you please be more specific about this task? Perhaps there are others that can assist?

One does not call out to one's quarry when on the hunt. If you were one of the chosen, you would understand: consider this a test of Diligence.

Do not test my patience, Dwarf; I will not hesitate to have you replaced if you fail to execute the duty assigned to you.

You have shown your strength and wisdom; yet you still have much to learn,

Your technical goal was achieved despite not following the recommended directives, and performance was adequate despite not having recovered the hand's information.

Still, justice must be served. Do not abandon your search: bring the hand to me.

To the Hobling hard, bearer of the Aegis, and bearer of the Blacksword: Fifteen days remain.

Authorized Proctor: Wizard,

We understand that the Dread Lord will appear soon. Is there any other way that we; the adventuring populace can assist? Do you know where will he appear? If citizens need to be relocated we should start now.

Lady FallingStar

It is not a question of the Enemy appearing, but of him escaping. He is presently held where he has always been, near the southern reaches of his former Empire. To minimize potential destruction, you will do the following:

Retrieve his Right Hand for execution.

Ensure that the Bearer remains steadfast in his resistance to its temptations.

Determine whether control of the Nexus has passed to one or more heirs following the fall of the Left Hand.

Promptly respond to all summons from myself, the General or the Prince.

Also don't trust zee proctor wizard lady... Zat should be on the list. Yep. Of course I'll play along.

Also Sam, did you know you are one Hard Hobling?

Jehan T Wyldweaver

[Bard. Hobling BARD. That's what I get for using a tablet instead of waiting until I have a keyboard, apparently. :p]

The individual "Jehan T Wyldweaver" is not recognized. Its statement is to be rejected.

If I may interject, the hobling does not sleep, nor does he dream. If you wish I may be able to get a hold of him as I am with his service.

If you had previously been aware that your master had not received a message intended for him, why have you not already conveyed it? It is contingent upon the messenger to deliver such information, once it has passed into his hands, and not upon the originator of the message to ensure its proper delivery.

--Authorized Proctor: Wizard

You know just once, why don't you stop taking in these dumb riddles and tell someone what you want.

Squire Siril or as you call him "the Bearer"

As stated previously, and with sufficient clarity, my instructions are as follows:

Retrieve his Right Hand for execution.

Ensure that the Bearer remains steadfast in his resistance to its temptations.

Determine whether control of the Nexus has passed to one or more heirs following the fall of the Left Hand.

Promptly respond to all summons from myself, the General or the Prince.

Inform the Hobling of any information of which he may not have been aware due to his alleged inability to access the Dreaming.
