I got lots for being poor single child female first in her family to go to college.....
yay for poor!
 
I'm in the middle. Not poor enough for assistance, but not well-off enough to pay for it. :(

I'm still phemayl and an only child...OH! And when they ask for ethnicity, I round up and put "Mexican-hispanic". Or "other" and it's amazing the kind of emails I get from obscure colleges.
 
I am walking the wire of divorce, being poor but having a rich dad, middle child, and being an upper-european melting pot doesn't get me anything special. But I did get a big scholarship from my school for being a smart out-of-stater!
 
Ah college loans, I spent more time on financing then on homework I think, its all paid back now though!
 
i had to take out one loan and i gotta tell you i was SO excited when i got the letter in the mail that the college loan was paid off...i did a happy dance...it was like owning ....nothing?
 
No worries-just hang tight.
Look for Scholarships first.. they seem to give them out for some Amazingly Random stuff..
Then look for regular financial aid and loans.

It's almost like the Army-They Want You!
And your Money...
You first born Child..
Your Soul..
You know-everyhing.. But Milk them First!
 
I don't know what Branch I would have joined.
When I was in college it was also a Huge Army Air Force area too-so I probably would have gone for that.
Plus there's the Reserves for it here in NY too so.. Yeah.

But as much as I respect all who Defent & Serve.. I wouldn't opt for that as your First Choice.

I would go for it.. I think talking to your patients is a Pre-Req. to being a Dentist...

Yeah, but they always do it while you've got some kind of crazy equipment in your mouth and are unable to talk back to them without sounding like you have some bizarre speech impediment.

Its like waiters/waitresses, I think they wait for you to have a mouthful in process to come ask you how your food is...

I wonder if they get taught that in waiter/waitress school...
